Dodge is opening a new performance chapter in Europe with the arrival of the next-generation Dodge Charger. Marking 60 years of the nameplate, the iconic muscle car returns with a dual-powertrain strategy: fully electric performance and a new-generation twin-turbo gasoline engine.
Built on the STLA Large multi-energy architecture, the new Charger has been engineered from the ground up to deliver traditional muscle-car attitude with modern flexibility, offering both coupe and four-door body styles.
Two Powertrains, One Muscle Philosophy
The new Charger lineup is defined by choice. Buyers in Europe can select between the all-electric Charger Daytona or the gasoline-powered SIXPACK variant, both designed to deliver high-performance AWD dynamics and straight-line acceleration.
Despite different propulsion systems, both versions retain Dodge’s core identity: aggressive styling, wide-body proportions, and a focus on driver engagement.
Dodge Charger Daytona: The First All-Electric Muscle Car
The Charger Daytona represents Dodge’s most advanced performance EV to date. Available in R/T and Scat Pack trims, it introduces instant torque delivery and all-wheel-drive traction through a dual electric drive module setup.
Performance highlights:
– Scat Pack: 670 hp (500 kW), 0–60 mph in 3.3 seconds
– R/T: 536 hp (400 kW), 0–60 mph in 4.2 seconds
– 100.5 kWh battery with 400V architecture
– DC fast charging: 20–80% in ~27 minutes (up to 350 kW)
A 10-minute charge can add roughly 110 km of range, supporting long-distance usability alongside performance driving.
The Daytona also introduces Dodge-exclusive performance tech, including PowerShot for temporary power boosts, adaptive suspension (on Track Package models), and Brembo braking systems.
Design highlights include the aerodynamic R-Wing front pass-through and illuminated Fratzog branding, while a simulated performance exhaust sound system maintains Dodge’s signature auditory identity in an EV format.
SIXPACK Charger: Modern ICE Muscle Reinvented
The gasoline-powered version of the new Charger features the all-new 3.0-liter Hurricane twin-turbo inline-six engine, branded as SIXPACK. It brings traditional combustion performance into a modern AWD chassis.
Performance highlights:
– Scat Pack: 550 hp, 0–60 mph in 3.9 seconds
– R/T: 420 hp, 0–60 mph in 4.6 seconds
– AWD with on-demand rear-wheel-drive mode
– Quarter-mile performance down to 12.2 seconds
A key innovation is its configurable drivetrain, allowing drivers to switch from all-wheel drive for maximum traction to rear-drive mode for more traditional muscle-car behavior, including drifting capability.
Features like Launch Control and Line Lock reinforce its drag-strip heritage, ensuring consistent launches and controlled burnout capability.
Shared DNA: Technology-Driven Muscle
Both versions of the new Charger emphasize modern performance technology:
– Multiple selectable drive modes
– Advanced chassis tuning for high-speed stability
– Performance data recording for track use
– Driver-focused cockpit design
Inside, the cabin blends digital instrumentation with classic muscle cues, including a flat-top steering wheel, performance seats, ambient lighting with 64 colors, and a redesigned shifter.
Europe-Specific Configuration and Equipment
For the European market, the Charger arrives primarily in Plus trims with enhanced standard equipment, including:
– 20-inch wheels and performance tires
– 12-way power seats (Scat Pack)
– 16-inch digital cluster + head-up display
– 360-degree camera system
– Wireless charging and premium LED lighting
– Alpine 18-speaker audio system (optional)
Advanced driver assistance systems are also standard, including Level 2 assisted driving, blind spot monitoring, traffic sign recognition, and emergency braking.
Market Launch and Availability
The new Dodge Charger lineup is available to order in Europe through official import channels, with pricing starting at approximately €66,000. First deliveries are expected from September 2026.
Customers purchasing early models will receive exclusive launch benefits, including a certificate of authenticity signed by Dodge leadership and optional EV home charging installation packages.
