LEPAS has revealed the full UK specification of its new L6 EV, an all-electric C-segment SUV designed to combine a 279-mile WLTP range with modern technology, practical interior space and a comprehensive standard equipment list.
The L6 EV is the brand’s first fully electric SUV for the UK and joins the larger L8 plug-in hybrid. Designed with urban driving and longer journeys in mind, the new electric SUV will be offered in two UK trim levels: Essence and Elevate.
Both versions use the same 65kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery and front-mounted electric motor, delivering 160kW (217PS) and 275Nm of torque. The L6 EV can accelerate from 0 to 62mph in 7.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 111mph.
UK order books are scheduled to open in early Q4 2026.
LEPAS L6 EV: 279-Mile Range and 120kW Charging
The LEPAS L6 EV is powered by a 65kWh LFP battery paired with a single front-mounted electric motor.
The powertrain produces 217PS and 275Nm of torque, giving the SUV a 0–62mph time of 7.9 seconds. Maximum speed is 111mph, while the official WLTP range stands at 279 miles.
When the battery needs to be recharged, the L6 EV supports DC fast charging at up to 120kW. LEPAS says a 30–80% charge takes approximately 22 minutes, making the SUV more practical for longer journeys.
The vehicle is built on LEPAS’ LEX Platform, a new-energy architecture focused on efficiency, safety and connected technology. Its integrated 12-in-1 electric drive system is designed to deliver smooth power delivery while improving overall efficiency.
Electric power steering and an electric brake booster are standard.
The L6 EV also uses Bosch IBP 2.0 braking technology, which is designed to improve braking performance, regenerative energy recovery and brake-pedal feel while reducing the pitching sensation that can sometimes occur during braking in electric vehicles.
European-Tuned Chassis
LEPAS says its European chassis development team carried out dedicated work on the L6 EV to suit European roads.
The aim is to combine the instant response of an electric powertrain with a comfortable ride and predictable handling. This approach follows the development strategy used for the L8 PHEV.
For an electric SUV competing in Europe’s increasingly crowded C-SUV segment, ride quality and everyday usability could prove just as important as outright range and charging performance.
Leopard-Inspired Exterior Design
The L6 EV follows LEPAS’ “Leopard Aesthetics” design language, with styling cues inspired by the movement and agility of a leopard.
The front end features distinctive “Hunting Eye” LED headlights, while the wide-body profile and full-width-style rear lighting give the SUV a more premium appearance.
Measuring 4,570mm long, 1,852mm wide and 1,676mm high, the L6 EV is sized for urban environments while retaining the proportions of a conventional SUV.
Its 2,700mm wheelbase helps create additional cabin space, while 159mm of ground clearance provides some extra versatility for everyday driving.
Both UK trims come standard with 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, LED headlights with Intelligent High Beam Assist, LED daytime running lights and LED rear lights.
Electrically adjustable, heated and power-folding door mirrors with puddle lights are also standard. Privacy glass is fitted to the rear windows and tailgate, while acoustic laminated front side windows are designed to reduce road and wind noise.
The standard exterior colour is Lucid White. Buyers can also choose from five pearlescent colours for £500: Phantom Grey, Cosmic Black, Quicksilver, Solar Orange and Supernova Purple.
Spacious Interior With Up to 1,334 Litres of Cargo Space
Inside, the L6 EV takes a minimalist approach, combining a wrap-around cockpit with a large central touchscreen and panoramic sunroof.
The main infotainment display measures 13.2 inches, while an 8.88-inch Retina LCD display provides information directly in front of the driver.
The LEX Platform also allows for a flat rear floor, creating additional legroom for rear passengers.
Cargo capacity is rated at 410 litres with the rear seats in place. Folding the 40/60 split rear seats increases capacity to 1,334 litres. There is also 99 litres of additional hidden underfloor storage, providing a dedicated area for charging cables and other equipment.
Standard equipment on both trims includes a panoramic sunroof with electric sunshade, dual-zone climate control, rear air vents, a heated multifunction steering wheel, heated front windscreen and keyless entry and start.
The entry-level Essence gets Basalt Black fabric upholstery and six-way manually adjustable front seats.
Moving to the Elevate trim brings Basalt Black leather-effect upholstery and six-way power adjustment for both front seats. The driver’s seat also gets four-way power lumbar adjustment.
Elevate additionally includes heated and ventilated front seats, a power tailgate, a Nano-Aqua Ion Air Purification System and 256-colour ambient lighting.
22 Driver Assistance Systems Standard
Safety is another major focus of the L6 EV. LEPAS says the vehicle has been developed around the requirements of the 2026 Euro NCAP testing protocols, with a reinforced passenger structure, extensive airbag protection and high-voltage battery safety measures.
Both Essence and Elevate feature 22 advanced driver assistance functions.
The standard systems include Autonomous Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, Emergency Lane Keeping, Blind Spot Detection and Traffic Jam Assist.
Rear Traffic Cross Alert and Rear Traffic Cross Braking are also included, alongside Rear Collision Warning, Door Open Warning, Intelligent Speed Limit Control and Front Distance Monitoring.
Parking assistance is particularly comprehensive. Front and rear parking sensors and a 540-degree panoramic camera system are standard across the range.
The higher-specification Elevate adds Advanced Parking Assist (APA) and Remote Parking Assist (RPA).
13.2-Inch Screen and AI Voice Assistant
The L6 EV’s technology package is designed to make the cabin more connected without relying entirely on physical controls.
A Qualcomm 8155 processor powers the infotainment system, while the central 13.2-inch display is paired with the 8.88-inch digital driver display.
The “Hello LEPAS” AI voice assistant allows drivers to operate selected vehicle functions using voice commands, potentially reducing the need to interact with the touchscreen while driving.
Wireless smartphone charging is also standard, with a 50W system featuring active cooling.
There are two USB-C ports up front, while rear passengers have access to both USB-A and USB-C connections.
Essence features a six-speaker sound system. Elevate upgrades to a premium eight-speaker SONY system.
Another useful feature is standard 3.3kW Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability. This allows the L6 EV’s battery to supply power to compatible electrical equipment, making the SUV more useful for activities such as camping and outdoor trips.
LEPAS L6 EV Warranty
LEPAS is also offering a substantial warranty package for UK buyers.
The L6 EV comes with a 7-year/100,000-mile manufacturer warranty, while the high-voltage battery is covered for 8 years or 100,000 miles.
Additional coverage includes a 12-year/unlimited-mileage corrosion perforation guarantee and a 3-year/unlimited-mileage paintwork warranty.
RAC Roadside Assistance is included for the first year. The coverage can be renewed for up to seven years when scheduled servicing is carried out at an authorised LEPAS service centre.
Over-the-Air (OTA) and Firmware-Over-the-Air (FOTA) updates will also allow software and vehicle functions to be updated throughout the vehicle’s ownership period.
LEPAS L6 EV UK Launch
The LEPAS L6 EV enters a highly competitive UK electric SUV market, where buyers have an increasing number of choices in the C-segment.
With a 279-mile WLTP range, 120kW DC charging, a 217PS electric motor and a long list of standard technology, the L6 EV is positioned as a well-equipped alternative for buyers looking for an electric family SUV.
Pricing has not yet been announced for the UK market.
LEPAS expects to open UK order books in early Q4 2026, with the Essence and Elevate trims forming the initial range.
