Arsenal Adds Citroen C-Zero EVs to its Fleet

Arsenal has charged forward with two electric new signings. The Premier League club recently took delivery of a pair of Citroen C-Zero electric city cars, adding to the existing vehicle fleet that Citroen provides as Official Car Supplier to Arsenal.

On side to take delivery of the models from electric advocate and C-Zero driver Quentin Willson were Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger and first team players Thomas Vermaelen, Kieran Gibbs and Olivier Giroud.

Vinai Venkatesham, Head of Global Partnerships at Arsenal Football Club commented:“Arsenal is committed to being a more environmentally friendly organisation and working with our partners to improve our overall efficiency. With the introduction of electric power to our fleet of already-efficient Citroens, journeys such as those between Emirates Stadium and our Training Ground can be fulfilled with minimal environmental impact whilst enabling tangible cost savings.”

With zero fuel consumption, zero CO2 emissions and zero engine noise, C-Zero is Citroen’s 100% electric solution to meet the demands of modern day urban driving. Compact dimensions, rapid charge capability and generous range for day-to-day car journeys, make C-Zero a perfect city companion.

Despite measuring just 3.48m (l), 1.48m (w) & 1.60m (h), C-Zero offers a spacious and comfortable cabin with four real seats and a 166-litre boot.

On the road, the Citroen C-Zero has a top speed of 80mph, does 0-62mph in 15.9 seconds and has a range of up to 93 miles per charge. A tight 9m turning circle and nimble handling make it easy to navigate through urban traffic.

Citroen UK has slashed the price of its C-Zero electric car from £33,155 to £26,216. Government’s £5,000 Plug-in Car Grant further reduces the ‘on-the-road’ price of the C-Zero to qualified applicants to £21,216. You can also get 15 weeks’ worth of free car insurance if you buy online or 10 weeks’ worth of free car insurance if you buy over the phone.

Citroen is also offering a monthly rental reduction to just £249 per month over three years and has increased the number of ‘EV specialist’ dealers handling the EV from 11 to 21 dealers, all in UK cities not covered by the original network.[wzslider height=”400″ lightbox=”true”]
