Stellantis Expands Applied Intuition Partnership to Accelerate AI-Defined Vehicles

Stellantis and Applied Intuition are expanding their strategic partnership as the automaker pushes forward with the development of its next-generation STLA Brain intelligent vehicle platform.

The latest agreement builds on the companies’ existing collaboration around STLA SmartCockpit, where both firms have already worked together to improve in-vehicle software experiences and connected technologies across Stellantis brands.

With the partnership now extending into STLA Brain, Stellantis is deepening its focus on software-defined and AI-enabled vehicles. The platform is designed to simplify system integration, streamline software validation, and enable continuous updates throughout a vehicle’s lifecycle.

According to Stellantis, the expanded collaboration will help accelerate software development while improving scalability and deployment efficiency across future vehicle programs.

Ned Curic, Stellantis Chief Engineering and Technology Officer, said speed, scalability, and software quality remain critical as the company introduces new technologies across its lineup. He noted that working with Applied Intuition will help create a common software foundation across Stellantis’ technology platforms, allowing faster delivery of features and a smoother in-vehicle experience for customers.

Applied Intuition CEO and co-founder Qasar Younis described the partnership as an important step toward bringing AI-defined vehicles into large-scale production. He added that the companies are working together to deploy advanced Vehicle OS and autonomy systems across multiple Stellantis brands and vehicle architectures.

Applied Intuition’s role in the partnership includes supporting software development, simulation, validation, and deployment for core vehicle systems. The company says its Vehicle OS technology can shorten development cycles and improve time-to-market for new automotive software features.

The collaboration highlights Stellantis’ broader strategy of strengthening vehicle connectivity, performance, and digital experiences through partnerships with leading software and AI technology firms.

As automakers increasingly transition toward software-defined vehicles, platforms like STLA Brain are expected to play a central role in enabling over-the-air updates, advanced driver assistance systems, and continuously evolving in-car experiences.
