Tesla Model S Earns Top Vehicle Safety Rating from NHTSA

Tesla-Model-S-Safety
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has awarded the Tesla Model S a five-star Overall Vehicle Score in its New Car Assessment Program (NCAP).

NHTSA gave the Model S its top five-star rating for each safety category — front-end crash, side crash and rollover crash.

Tesla Model S features front and side airbag technologies to tailor deployment to individual occupants.

The videos below show the Model S undergoing frontal impact, side impact and side pole impact testing, with minimal cabin intrusion and the car’s wealth of airbags all firing as they should.
