Lynk & Co has taken a bold step into the high-performance segment with the debut of its first-ever Gran Turismo concept, “Time to Shine,” at the 2026 Beijing Auto Show.
The two-door GT signals a major milestone for the brand as it celebrates a decade of innovation, combining design evolution, motorsport pedigree, and future-focused performance.
Positioned as both a tribute and a forward-looking statement, the concept highlights Lynk & Co’s ambition to deepen its connection with driving enthusiasts while shaping its next chapter around emotion, confidence, and cutting-edge technology.
Sculpted by Light: A Striking Exterior
The GT concept adopts classic wide-body Gran Turismo proportions, measuring 4,780 mm in length, 2,000 mm in width, and 1,330 mm in height, with a 2,750 mm wheelbase. The result is a low, purposeful stance that emphasizes performance.
Its design philosophy—described as “sculpted by light”—creates a dynamic visual effect, with surfaces that shift depending on angle and motion. The body is finished in Apex Blue, a liquid-metal paint that enhances depth and highlights sharp aerodynamic lines. Subtle Spark Yellow accents add contrast while nodding to the brand’s racing heritage.
Interior: Performance Meets Comfort
Inside, the GT concept balances a performance-focused cockpit with a welcoming 2+2 layout. The cabin uses White Digital Shimmer leather to create a bright, refined atmosphere, complemented by technical detailing that reinforces its sporting intent.
A standout feature is the use of Textreme® 360 carbon fibre behind the seats, hand-inlaid to create a starlight-like shimmer. This blend of advanced materials and craftsmanship reflects the concept’s dual nature—luxury and performance in equal measure.
The “+” Button: A New Driving Ritual
At the heart of the driving experience is the physical Spark Yellow “+” button on the center console. Activating it transforms the car into full performance mode.
The suspension lowers by 15 mm, aerodynamic elements extend at both ends—lengthening the car by 100 mm—and a rear wing deploys to increase downforce and stability. At the same time, the digital displays retract, removing distractions and sharpening driver focus.
This integrated system showcases a unique approach to performance, combining mechanical adjustments with a more immersive driving environment.
Performance and Technology
Built on a decade of motorsport success—including nine championships across seven touring car seasons—the GT concept features rear-wheel drive, a track-inspired chassis, and an AI-powered digital chassis system for advanced vehicle control.
Early figures suggest a 0–100 km/h sprint in just 2 seconds, supported by sustained high power output. While full technical details remain under wraps, the concept clearly targets the upper echelon of performance EVs.
A Global Vision for the Future
The project was led by Lynk & Co’s Swedish design team, with development spanning Europe and China—reflecting the brand’s global identity and Scandinavian roots.
Looking ahead, Lynk & Co plans to involve its growing community of over 1.76 million users in shaping the future of the GT concept, including decisions around powertrain options and potential production.
With “Time to Shine,” Lynk & Co delivers more than a concept—it signals a defining moment. The GT represents ten years of progress and a clear commitment to performance-driven innovation in the electric era.
