Leapmotor B05 Ultra Debuts at Auto Beijing 2026, European Rollout Expands

At Auto Beijing, Leapmotor used its global platform to underline a rapidly growing presence in the electric vehicle market. During its themed press conference, “A New Answer to the World – Leapmotor’s Further Advancement,” the company showcased its latest innovations and outlined a clear strategy for international expansion.

More than 100 media outlets from across five continents attended the event, reflecting increasing global interest in the brand’s progress and ambitions.

Strong Growth and First Profitable Year

Leapmotor’s recent performance signals a company gaining traction. In 2025, global deliveries reached approximately 600,000 vehicles, marking its first full year of profitability.

That momentum has carried into 2026, with over 110,000 units delivered in the first quarter alone. Notably, more than 40,000 of those vehicles were exported, setting a new record and reinforcing the effectiveness of its global strategy.

B05 Ultra Headlines Beijing Debut

The spotlight in Beijing fell on the debut of the B05 Ultra, a high-performance variant positioned at the top of the B05 lineup. Designed exclusively for the Chinese market, the model targets younger drivers seeking a blend of sporty styling and advanced technology.

The B05 Ultra features a factory-installed aerodynamic package and delivers 0–100 km/h acceleration in around five seconds. Inside, comfort and tech take center stage with an 8-point PWM seat massage system and a dual flagship chipset setup combining Qualcomm 8650 and 8295 platforms. Advanced urban navigation-assisted driving further enhances the model’s appeal.

With upgrades spanning design, performance, and intelligent systems, the B05 Ultra aims to deliver a well-rounded driving experience in the increasingly competitive EV sports coupe segment.

European Expansion Focuses on Value and Simplicity

Beyond China, Leapmotor continues to execute a measured European rollout. The strategy emphasizes competitive pricing, simplified configurations, and core volume models to attract a broad customer base.

As part of this expansion, the company is introducing the B05 as a compact electric hatchback in Europe. Positioned as its first sporty EV offering for the region, the model combines expressive design, dynamic performance, and everyday practicality without compromising efficiency or comfort.

Orders for the B05 opened on April 23 in select European markets, with pricing starting at €26,900. This positions the model as a strong contender in the affordable EV segment, offering a balanced mix of technology and value.

Full Lineup Showcases Broad EV Portfolio

In addition to the B05 Ultra and European-spec B05, Leapmotor’s booth at Auto Beijing featured a comprehensive range of vehicles. The display included the B-series, C-series, and flagship models such as the D19 and D99, alongside the B03X.

Covering multiple segments—from sedans and SUVs to MPVs—and offering both battery-electric and extended-range powertrains, the lineup highlights Leapmotor’s ambition to compete across a wide spectrum of the EV market.

A Brand on the Rise

Leapmotor’s latest announcements underline a brand transitioning from domestic success to global relevance. With strong sales growth, improving profitability, and a clear expansion roadmap, the company is positioning itself as a serious contender in the increasingly crowded electric vehicle landscape.
