Alpine will give the public its first look at the development mule for the next-generation A110 at the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed, where the French performance brand is preparing its largest-ever presence.
The next-generation Alpine A110 will become the brand’s first all-electric sports car, built on the new Alpine Performance Platform (APP). The test mule will make its global public debut at Goodwood and is scheduled to run up the famous hill each day during the four-day event, taking place from July 9 to 12.
While the vehicle remains a development prototype, it is expected to preview the technology and engineering direction of the third-generation A110. Alpine says the new platform has been designed to preserve the lightweight, agile character that defines the A110 while delivering performance intended to surpass today’s internal-combustion sports cars.
A110 Heritage Meets Alpine’s Electric Future
The Goodwood appearance will bring together several important models from the A110’s history, highlighting its journey from rally-bred icon to the foundation for Alpine’s future electric performance strategy.
A major highlight will come during the Alpine Moment on Thursday, July 9, when the next-generation A110 mule will appear in the Brand Parade alongside landmark A110 models and Alpine’s current production range. The parade will conclude with a demonstration run by the Alpine E20 Formula One car.
Alpine will also put its two current electric models in the spotlight. The A290 electric hot hatch, now Alpine’s best-selling model, will appear both on track and at the Alpine stand. It will be joined by the A390, the brand’s new 470hp five-seat electric sport fastback.
Alpine F1 Drivers to Join Goodwood Programme
The brand’s Goodwood programme will feature a five-driver line-up from the BWT Alpine Formula One Team. Pierre Gasly and Franco Colapinto will be joined by Alpine Academy and reserve drivers Nina Gademan, Paul Aron and Alex Dunne.
Across the festival, the drivers will take part in demonstration runs, fan appearances, talks and signing sessions at the Alpine stand.
Visitors will also be able to try Alpine Active Torque Vectoring simulators, while the brand’s full production line-up will join the festival parades throughout the event.
The Goodwood Festival of Speed, first held in 1993, has become one of the world’s leading automotive events, bringing hundreds of cars, motorcycles and motorsport figures to the Goodwood hill each year.
For Alpine, the debut of the A110 electric development mule marks a key moment as it transitions its most iconic model into the EV era while expanding its performance-focused electric vehicle range.
