EVgo is significantly expanding access to public DC fast charging across the United States through two major initiatives that strengthen charging availability for both everyday driving and long-distance travel.
The company is adding more than 500 new fast-charging stalls at shopping centers owned by Brixmor Property Group while celebrating a separate milestone as its charging network with Pilot Company and General Motors surpasses 300 locations nationwide.
Together, the announcements reinforce EVgo’s strategy of making fast charging more accessible where drivers shop, commute, and travel.
More Than 500 New EVgo Fast Chargers Coming to Brixmor Shopping Centers
EVgo and Brixmor Property Group are expanding their long-standing partnership by deploying more than 500 additional DC fast-charging stalls across the U.S.
Once the rollout is complete, at least 90 Brixmor shopping centers—representing more than a quarter of the company’s retail portfolio—will feature EVgo fast chargers. The expansion is designed to integrate EV charging into everyday routines, allowing drivers to recharge while shopping, dining, or running errands.
The first location under the expanded agreement is expected to open later this year at Barn Plaza in the Philadelphia suburbs. Additional installations are planned across several states, including: Florida, Illinois, Minnesota, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Texas.
Many of the new sites will feature up to 12 high-power DC fast chargers, providing ample capacity for busy retail destinations. Grocery-anchored shopping centers are viewed as ideal charging locations, as most American households visit supermarkets multiple times each week.
Beyond improving convenience for EV drivers, public fast chargers at retail centers are also expected to increase customer traffic and encourage longer shopping visits, creating benefits for nearby businesses.
EVgo says expanding charging infrastructure at familiar destinations helps meet growing demand for reliable public charging while making EV ownership more practical for more drivers.
Pilot, GM and EVgo Reach 300 Charging Locations Across 40 States
At the same time, EVgo’s collaboration with Pilot Company and General Motors has reached another significant milestone.
The partners have now deployed more than 300 fast-charging locations with approximately 1,300 charging stalls spanning 40 states. The network now covers roughly 75% of the contiguous United States, serving more than 2.2 million square miles and creating one of the country’s largest interstate-focused charging networks.
The charging corridor has been steadily expanding since the partnership launched in 2022 and is designed to support reliable long-distance EV travel along major highway routes.
According to the companies, the network has earned strong customer satisfaction, achieving a 9.41 out of 10 PlugShare rating as of July 2026.
Designed for Long-Distance EV Travel
Unlike many urban charging locations, Pilot travel centers are built around the needs of road-trip travelers.

– 24/7 staffed locations with free Wi-Fi and clean restrooms
– On-site restaurants, food and convenience stores
– Weather-protected charging canopies at select sites
– Pull-through charging stalls at some locations for vehicles towing trailers
– Windshield cleaning stations
The combination of reliable charging and full-service travel centers is intended to reduce range anxiety while making charging stops more comfortable during longer journeys.
