February 2014 Plug-in Sales [update]

Plug-in-Sales
All major automakers are posting February sales numbers for plug-in electric vehicles.

NOTE: This article is updated throughout the day as soon as more data is available.

2013-Nissan-LeafNissan LEAF
Nissan LEAF finished the month with 1,425 deliveries,  an increase of 118 percent compared with February-2013 when 653 were sold. Previously in January, Nissan LEAF sold 1,252 units. In terms of year-to-date results in 2014, sales of the Nissan LEAF now stand at 2,677.
2013-Chevrolet-VoltChevrolet Volt
The Chevrolet Volt sold 1,210 units in February, which is down 25.6% compared to February of 2013 when GM delivered 1,626 Volts. Previously in January, Chevrolet Volt sold 918 units. In terms of year-to-date results in 2014, sales of the Chevrolet Volt now stand at 2,128 units. That’s is 23.1 percent less than last year’s total through February of 2,766.
2013-Prius-Plug-inToyota Prius Plug-in
Prius Plug-in Hybrid achieved 1,041 sales last month, which is up 50.3% compared to February of 2013. Previously in January, Toyota Prius Plug-in sold 803 units. In terms of year-to-date results in 2014, sales of the Prius Plug-in Hybrid now stand at 1,844.
2013-C-Max-EnergiFord C-Max Energi
Ford C-MAX Energi sold 552 units last month, which is up 66% compared to February of 2013. C-MAX Energi sold 471 units in January – up 39% compared to January of 2013.
2013-Fusion-EnergiFord Fusion Energi
Ford Fusion Energi achieved 779 sales last month. Previously in January, Ford Fusion Energi sold 553 units. The Fusion Energi finished 2013 with 6,089 deliveries.
2014-Cadillac-ELRCadillac ELR
February marked GM’s second full month of sales for the 2014 Cadillac ELR range-extended luxury coupe. GM sold 58 Cadillac ELRs, which brings the total amount sold in the first 2 months to 99 units. The 2014 Cadillac ELR has a starting price of $75,995, including a $995 destination charge but excluding tax, title, license and dealer fees.
2014-Porsche-Panamera-S-HybridPorsche Panamera S-E Hybrid
Porsche sold 57 Panamera S E-Hybrids last month. Previously in January, Panamera S E-Hybrid sold 141 units. Porsche Panamera S E-Hybrid is available at Porsche dealers nationwide, with a starting price of $99,000. The electric driving range of the Panamera S E-Hybrid is more than 20 miles. It can reach up to 84 mph in all-electric operation. This increases to 168mph when the V6 engine kicks in.
2013-Tesla-Model-STesla Model S – No Sales Data to Report
Tesla Motors does not report monthly sales like every other automaker. Tesla Motors said that it delivered 6,892 Model S electric sedans in the fourth quarter of 2013. Tesla delivered 22,477 Model S electric sedans in 2013. Tesla sees Model S deliveries increasing to 7,400 in the first quarter, and hitting 35,000 total for 2014.
2013-Focus-EVFord Focus Electric
Deliveries of the Ford Focus Electric were 129 in February. In January, deliveries of the Focus Electric were exactly 100. The Ford Focus Electric finished 2013 with 1,738 deliveries.
2013-Mitsubishi-iMitsubishi i
Mitsubishi sold just three i-MiEV electric cars in February. Previously in January, Mitsubishi sold just one i-MiEV electric car in January. Mitsubishi i-MiEV finished 2013 with 1,029 deliveries. 2014 Mitsubishi i-MiEV will start at $22,995 including CHAdeMO DC quick charge port when it goes on sale this spring, representing a $6,130 reduction from the starting price of the 2012 model that preceded it.
2013-Honda-Fit-EVHonda Fit EV
Honda sold 33 Fit EVs in February. Previously in January, Honda FIT EVs sold 30 units. Honda Fit EV production will be halted this fall when the automaker produces its 1,100th Fit EV. With the Fit EV being halted this fall, Honda will be left without a all-electric vehicle to compete in the growing segment.
2013-Toyota-RAV4-EVToyota RAV4 EV
Toyota RAV4 EV sold 101 units last month. Toyota RAV4 EV sold 63 units in January. That’s more than double the 28 sold in December. The highest selling level for any one month for the RAV4 EV was August of 2013 with 231 deliveries.
2013-Honda-Accord-Plug-inHonda Accord Plug-in
The 2014 Honda Accord Plug-In Hybrid logged 24 units last month. Previously in January, Accord Plug-in Hybrid sold 27 units.
2013-Smart-Fortwo-EDSmart Fortwo Electric Drive
Last month, smart fortwo ED sold 122 units after selling 97 units in January and 167 units in December. smart fortwo ED finished 2013 with 923 deliveries.
2013-Fiat-500eFiat 500e – No Sales Data to Report
Like Tesla, FIAT Brand North America does not report monthly sales. The 2013 Fiat 500e is priced at $32,500, which includes a $700 destination charge. However, eligible California residents may be able to purchase the 2013 Fiat 500e for as low as $20,500, after federal credits.
Spark-EVChevrolet Spark EV
GM sold 71 Chevrolet Spark EVs last month. Previously in January, Spark EV sold 93 units.Chevrolet Spark EV finished 2013 with 539 deliveries.
