Citroen e-C3 and e-C3 Aircross Get New OUTDOOR Trim With Rugged Styling and More Features

Citroen is expanding its C3 family with a new OUTDOOR trim, bringing a more adventurous design, additional equipment and distinctive styling to the C3, e-C3, C3 Aircross and e-C3 Aircross.

Positioned above the existing MAX trim, OUTDOOR becomes the new top specification for the four models. Citroen says the new version is aimed at customers looking for a vehicle with more personality and an outdoors-inspired character, while retaining the comfort and practicality associated with the C3 range.

The new trim takes two slightly different approaches. The C3 and e-C3 OUTDOOR are positioned as compact cars designed for escaping the pace of urban life, while the C3 Aircross and e-C3 Aircross OUTDOOR focus more heavily on family adventures and versatility.

A More Rugged Look for the C3 Range

The new Citroen C3 OUTDOOR and C3 Aircross OUTDOOR receive a series of exterior changes designed to give them a tougher and more distinctive appearance.

New front and rear bumpers feature a more structured, angular design, while a contrasting grey element on the front bumper gives the cars an SUV-inspired look reminiscent of protective skid plates.

On the C3 Aircross and e-C3 Aircross, the lower front section also incorporates LED fog lights.

The OUTDOOR treatment continues along the sides, where a new grey insert runs along the lower doors. The element carries the OUTDOOR badge and Citroen’s playful Migoo mascot.

New 17-inch matt grey alloy wheels further distinguish the range. Their angular design was developed specifically for the C3 and C3 Aircross, while Infra Red Citroen logos at the wheel centers add a contrasting splash of color.

The same Infra Red theme appears elsewhere on the vehicles through colored detailing and Citroen branding.

A new Sequoia Green exterior color is also introduced with the OUTDOOR trim and comes as standard. Buyers can alternatively choose Perla Nera Black, Mercury Grey, Polar White or Bright Blue. A two-tone roof is available with all exterior colors except Perla Nera Black.

Citroen Adds a More Distinctive Interior

The OUTDOOR treatment continues inside with a new cabin design intended to give the C3 models a more premium and adventurous character.

Citroen’s Advanced Comfort seats feature a new horizontal graphic pattern, while the front-seat backrests receive a laser-embroidered image of Migoo. Infra Red stitching adds further contrast and appears on the seats, armrest and door panels.

The interior also introduces Dune-colored accents across the fabric sections, dashboard, center armrest and door panels. An embossed OUTDOOR insert is positioned on the dashboard in front of the passenger.

Orange seatbelts and a red steering-wheel logo provide additional color highlights, giving the cabin a more distinctive appearance than the standard versions.

C3 OUTDOOR Adds More Equipment for Urban Driving

The Citroen C3 OUTDOOR is aimed at drivers who want a compact car with additional equipment and a more rugged personality without moving into a larger SUV.

For the first time, the C3 gains front parking sensors, making low-speed maneuvering and parking easier in urban environments.

Hybrid and electric versions also gain keyless entry and start, while the Winter Pack is standard. It includes heated front seats, a heated steering wheel and a heated windscreen.

The C3 OUTDOOR is available with three powertrain choices: a 100-hp turbocharged petrol engine, 110-hp hybrid and 113-hp electric motor.

The e-C3 OUTDOOR can deliver up to 200 miles of WLTP range, making it the zero-emission option for buyers looking for a compact electric car with the new OUTDOOR styling.

e-C3 Aircross OUTDOOR Offers Up to 246 Miles of Range

The larger C3 Aircross OUTDOOR takes the formula in a more family-oriented direction, combining its spacious interior with additional equipment and a more adventurous exterior.

Functional roof rails are included, making it easier to carry leisure equipment, while LED fog lights add both practicality and visual appeal.

The C3 Aircross OUTDOOR is offered with a 100-hp turbocharged petrol engine or a 145-hp automatic hybrid powertrain.

For buyers looking for an electric family SUV, the e-C3 Aircross OUTDOOR is available with a 113-hp extended-range electric powertrain. It offers up to 246 miles of WLTP range, giving the electric version enough range for everyday driving as well as longer family journeys.

Migoo Becomes the Face of the OUTDOOR Range

One of the more unusual elements of the new trim is Migoo, Citroen’s comic-book-inspired mascot.

The character appears throughout the OUTDOOR design and is intended to represent adventure, discovery and freedom. Its playful appearance contrasts with the tougher exterior styling, reflecting Citroen’s attempt to combine rugged looks with the comfort and approachable character of the C3 family.

With the OUTDOOR trim, Citroen is effectively giving its compact hatchback and small SUV lineup a more lifestyle-focused identity.

The new C3, e-C3, C3 Aircross and e-C3 Aircross OUTDOOR sit at the top of their respective ranges, adding exclusive styling, upgraded equipment and distinctive interior details. For buyers considering a compact petrol, hybrid or electric vehicle with a more adventurous personality, the new trim provides another option within Citroen’s expanding C3 family.
