Kia reveals the EV3 GT, EV4 GT and EV5 GT in Brussels

Kia presented the next chapter of its GT line-up at the 2026 Brussels Motor Show with the reveal of three new fully electric models: EV3 GT, EV4 GT, and EV5 GT. This announcement marks a major step in Kia’s GT strategy to pair emotional driving with advanced digital experiences across its growing EV line-up.

Kia’s latest GT models feature dynamic hardware enhancements paired with an expanded EV GT ecosystem. This includes GT-exclusive drive modes, electronically controlled chassis systems, digital lighting, personalised interfaces, Kia Upgrades, and performance-themed soundscapes. The result is an experience designed for performance, as well as everyday engagement, comfort, and emotional connection.

“Our new electric Kia GT models prove that electrification can be emotional and resolute,” said Soohang Chang, President and CEO of Kia Europe. “The EV3 GT, EV4 GT, and EV5 GT will deliver an engaging, confidence-inspiring drive, combining the instant responsiveness of electric power with sporty character and all-purpose capability. These GTs are crafted for those who seek the best of both worlds: excitement while embracing a future of responsible mobility.”

Production of the EV3 GT, EV4 GT, and EV5 GT is scheduled to start in Q2 2026.

EV3 GT and EV4 GT: shared performance DNA
The EV3 GT and EV4 GT are built on a common technical foundation, translating Kia’s GT philosophy into three body styles that are uncommon for these segments: a compact SUV, as well as a sporty Hatchback and a sleek Fastback.

Both models feature a 215kW dual-motor AWD system (145kW in the front, 70kW in the rear), an 81.4kWh battery, an electronically controlled suspension with GT-specific tuning, improved cornering stability, and 20-inch alloy wheels with performance-oriented tyres.

A dedicated GT drive mode harmonises power delivery, steering response, suspension, and vehicle displays to deliver a more focused and immersive driving character. To heighten driver engagement, both models feature Virtual Gear Shift (VGS) and active sound design.

VGS introduces a tactile sensation during acceleration and deceleration, while active sound design dynamically responds to speed and load, generating a progressive digital soundscape that amplifies excitement. Together, these innovations deliver a forward-looking, emotionally charged driving experience.

EV3 GT: compact, confident performance
The EV3 GT brings the GT driving experience into the compact SUV segment. Its upright proportions and versatile packaging are combined with GT-specific chassis tuning to offer stability, control, and a confident character on the road.

GT-specific design elements emphasise its sporty character. These include semi bucket seats inspired by the EV9 GT, distinctive interior neon accents, and ambient lighting linked to drive modes. These features make the EV3 GT a high-engagement yet accessible entry point into Kia’s electric GT portfolio.

EV4 GT: dynamic Hatchback and Fastback with GT tuning
The EV4 GT builds on the EV4’s ‘Drive with an Edge’ positioning, designed for those who favour dynamic driving over traditional SUVs. The GT variant takes this concept even further, delivering an enhanced level of sportiness and agility.

The model applies the same GT hardware and drivetrain concept to lower, sportier Hatchback and Fastback body styles. The EV4 GT offers an even more agile and road-focused interpretation of the GT philosophy.

Inside, the EV4 GT features distinctive semi-bucket sport seats, a dedicated three-spoke steering wheel, striking accents, and a GT-mode specific interface design. The result is a compact electric performance model that prioritises precision and responsiveness.

EV5 GT: GT performance for the C-SUV segment
The upcoming EV5 extends Kia’s GT philosophy into the C-SUV category. It combines performance with the versatility customers expect from larger SUVs.

The model features an 225kW dual-motor AWD powertrain with enhanced power and torque, a GT-specific chassis configuration, including electronically controlled suspension with road preview system, and sporty tyres.

Design elements further differentiate the EV5 GT, with GT-exclusive exterior details, dedicated semi bucket sport seats, and ambient lights linked to GT drive modes. This positions the EV5 GT as a performance-focused electric SUV suitable for everyday commuting.

The heritage of Kia GT
For more than a decade, the GT badge has embodied Kia’s approach to offering exciting and balanced performance. It first appeared in 2013 with the Ceed GT and ProCeed GT, aimed at customers who valued engaging driving and expressive styling while enabling everyday usability.

Four years later, Kia introduced the Stinger GT—the brand’s closest interpretation of a true Gran Turismo, following the design and engineering blueprint established by the 2011 Kia GT Concept.

In 2022, the launch of the EV6 GT carried that promise into the electric era. Featuring dual motors, the first generation delivered 430kW / 585PS and was named ‘2023 World Performance Car of the Year’. Following the launch of the EV6 GT facelift in 2024, power output has been increased to an impressive 478kW / 650PS.

Kia’s first high-performance EV proved how electrification could amplify the Kia GT experience. Since late 2025, the EV9 GT, with a power output of 374kW / 508PS, has extended Kia GT performance into the large SUV segment.
