Skoda Peaq Debuts as New Seven-Seat EV Flagship SUV: Everything You Need to Know

Skoda has announced UK pricing and specifications for the new Peaq, its flagship all-electric seven-seat SUV. Priced from £51,980 on the road, the Peaq is the largest electric model in the Czech brand’s line-up and offers up to 390 miles of WLTP range.

Built on the Volkswagen Group’s MEB platform and manufactured in Mladá Boleslav, Czech Republic, the Peaq expands Skoda’s growing EV portfolio. Order books for UK customers will open in September 2026.

The Skoda Peaq is the electric alternative to the large Kodiaq SUV. Measuring almost 4.9 metres long, the Peaq is designed to combine long-distance electric driving capability with family-friendly space and practicality. It offers seating for up to seven adults and up to 2,075 litres of luggage capacity with the second and third rows folded flat.

Up to 390 Miles of Range and 199kW Rapid Charging

The Skoda Peaq will be offered with an 86kWh net battery, the largest battery pack yet fitted to a Skoda electric vehicle. Two powertrain options will be available: the rear-wheel-drive Peaq 90 and the all-wheel-drive Peaq 90x.

Power outputs range from 286PS to 299PS, while the Peaq 90x can accelerate from 0-62mph in 6.8 seconds. The rear-wheel-drive version delivers the longest claimed range, with up to 390 miles on the WLTP combined cycle.

DC rapid charging is supported at speeds of up to 199kW. On a compatible rapid charger, the battery can be replenished from 10 to 80 per cent in around 28 minutes.

The Peaq also supports Vehicle-to-Load functionality, allowing the battery to power external devices such as e-bikes, camping equipment or caravans.

Spacious Seven-Seat Interior and Large Boot

With a 2,965mm wheelbase, the Peaq offers generous space across all three rows. Skoda says the third row has sufficient headroom and legroom for adult passengers, making the model a more practical alternative to many seven-seat electric SUVs.

Boot capacity stands at 299 litres with all seven seats in use. Folding the third row increases this to 890 litres, while folding the second and third rows unlocks a maximum of 2,075 litres. A 37-litre front luggage compartment provides additional storage for charging cables and smaller items.

The cabin features a 10-inch digital driver display and a 13.6-inch vertical infotainment touchscreen with haptic controls. The latest Android-based system supports native Skoda applications as well as Spotify, YouTube and Google Maps.

A smartphone-based digital key will also be available, enabling drivers to unlock and start the vehicle using a compatible smartphone or smartwatch. An augmented-reality head-up display is scheduled to arrive as an option from 2027.

Modern Solid Design and New Technology

The Peaq adopts Skoda’s Modern Solid design language, first previewed by the Vision 7S concept. Its front end is defined by the illuminated Tech-Deck Face, featuring vertical elements and LED backlighting.

Full LED Matrix headlights with 18 individual light segments are available, while wheel sizes range from 19 to 21 inches. Customers will be able to choose from nine exterior colours.

The flagship EV is also the first production Skoda to feature flush door handles. These retract into the bodywork while driving or when the vehicle is locked, helping to improve aerodynamic efficiency.

Another new feature is an electrochromic panoramic glass roof with nine individually controlled segments. Drivers can choose from preset shade settings or adjust the roof through the infotainment system.

Inside, the Peaq will be available with five Design Selections, including Loft, Lodge, Suite Black, Ceramic and SportLine Lounge. Several interior materials use recycled content, with more than 50kg of recycled materials incorporated into selected cabin options.

Skoda Peaq SportLine Adds a Sportier Look

The range-topping Peaq SportLine adds black exterior detailing, 20-inch Okapi alloy wheels, sports seats, aluminium pedals and a three-spoke heated steering wheel. Optional 21-inch wheels and a contrasting black roof are also available.

SportLine models receive Dynamic Chassis Control as standard, while the interior features darker trim, a black headliner and Suedia upholstery with Techtona detailing.

UK Pricing and Trim Levels

The UK line-up will include SE L, Edition and SportLine trim levels. Edition and SportLine versions will be available with either rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.

The entry-level Peaq SE L comes with 19-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, heated front and rear seats, a heated windscreen, Qi2 wireless charging, Android navigation, an electric tailgate with virtual pedal and a digital mobile key.

Edition models add Matrix LED headlights, a horizontal front light bar, Area View camera, Remote Park Assist, Trained Parking and a Suite interior design selection with leather and artificial leather upholstery.

Safety equipment includes Traffic Sign Recognition, Front Assist, Turn Assist, Cross Traffic Assist, Blind Spot Detection, Predictive Adaptive Cruise Control, ISOFIX mounting points and electronic child locks.

With a long electric range, seven-seat flexibility and rapid-charging capability, the Skoda Peaq is positioned as a new flagship choice for families looking for a large electric SUV.
