Leapmotor continued its rapid growth in September, delivering a record 105,656 vehicles worldwide as the Chinese automaker pushed monthly deliveries above the 100,000 mark for the third consecutive month.
September deliveries increased 58.51% compared with the same month last year and rose 2.45% from August. While annual growth was slower than the 80.72% increase recorded in August, the company accelerated its month-over-month growth from 1.84%.
The latest figures highlight the pace at which Leapmotor has expanded its business in China while increasingly building an international presence.
Leapmotor Delivers More Than 310,000 Vehicles in Q3
Leapmotor delivered 310,052 vehicles during the third quarter of 2026, representing a 78.34% increase from the same period last year. Quarterly deliveries also climbed 25.87% compared with the second quarter.
For the first nine months of 2026, Leapmotor delivered 666,539 vehicles globally. That figure is already 11.7% higher than the 596,555 vehicles the company delivered during the entire 2025 calendar year.
Leapmotor has now achieved roughly two-thirds of its previously announced target of delivering 1 million vehicles in 2026.
To reach that target, the company would need to deliver another 333,461 vehicles during the fourth quarter. That translates to an average of approximately 111,154 vehicles per month, meaning Leapmotor would need to move above its September record for each of the final three months of the year.
Overseas Expansion Gains Momentum
Leapmotor’s growth is increasingly extending beyond its domestic market.
The company exported more than 27,000 vehicles in September, its highest monthly export volume so far this year. That compares with 18,255 exports in August and a previous 2026 monthly high of approximately 21,000 vehicles in June.
Cumulative exports exceeded 150,000 vehicles during the first nine months of the year, highlighting the growing importance of international markets to Leapmotor’s expansion strategy.
The automaker’s overseas operations are supported by Leapmotor International, the joint venture established with Stellantis. The partnership is responsible for Leapmotor’s exports, sales and distribution outside China.
Europe is a major focus of that expansion. Leapmotor said its European sales and service network has now grown to more than 1,000 locations, giving the brand a significantly broader retail and service footprint across the region.
The company is also scheduled to appear at the 2026 Paris Motor Show on October 12, providing another opportunity to showcase its growing lineup and international ambitions.
Leapmotor Preparing a Second Brand
The company’s expansion is not limited to increasing production and overseas sales.
At Leapmotor’s Technology Day on September 17, founder, chairman and CEO Zhu Jiangming confirmed that the company is preparing to launch a second brand. The new brand is scheduled to debut and begin vehicle deliveries in the fourth quarter of 2027.
That move could give Leapmotor another avenue for expanding its lineup and targeting additional segments as the company continues to scale its business.
For now, the immediate focus remains on sustaining its record delivery pace. With 666,539 vehicles delivered through September, Leapmotor has already surpassed its full-year 2025 volume and has entered the final quarter of 2026 with its sights set on the 1 million-vehicle milestone.
