Leapmotor continued its rapid global expansion in August, delivering more than 100,000 vehicles for the second consecutive month and setting another monthly delivery record.
The Chinese electric vehicle maker delivered 103,129 vehicles worldwide in August, an increase of 80.72% compared with August 2025. It was the company’s fifth consecutive month of record deliveries, highlighting the continued momentum behind its growing EV lineup.
However, the pace of month-over-month growth moderated. August deliveries were up just 1.84% from July, compared with an 8.45% sequential increase recorded the previous month. That represents Leapmotor’s slowest monthly growth rate since March.
Despite the slower sequential growth, the latest figures put Leapmotor among the fastest-growing EV manufacturers in the global market.
Leapmotor Delivers More Than 560,000 Vehicles in 2026
Leapmotor delivered 560,883 vehicles during the first eight months of the year, representing a 70.55% increase year over year.
Since the company began delivering vehicles in 2020, cumulative deliveries have reached 1,756,986 units.
The August results also show that Leapmotor has made significant progress toward its ambitious full-year target of 1 million vehicles. With eight months completed, the company has achieved approximately 56.1% of its annual goal.
That leaves Leapmotor needing to deliver another 439,117 vehicles during the final four months of the year. Reaching the target would require an average of roughly 109,779 vehicles per month from September through December.
Given that August deliveries reached 103,129 units, Leapmotor will need to increase its monthly pace moderately to reach the 1 million-vehicle milestone.
Stellantis Partnership Helps Drive Global Expansion
International markets are becoming an increasingly important part of Leapmotor’s growth strategy.
The company expanded its presence in Argentina in August, where its B10 and C10 global models entered the market. Leapmotor is working with Stellantis to establish local sales and service networks as it continues expanding outside China.
The partnership with Stellantis gives Leapmotor access to an established global automotive network and is expected to play an important role in its international expansion.
Leapmotor said it recently ranked among the top four global passenger new energy vehicle brands and the top three Chinese brands based on comparable end-user registration volumes.
Leapmotor Raises Overseas Sales Expectations
International sales are becoming a particularly important growth opportunity for Leapmotor.
Management now expects overseas sales to reach approximately 200,000 vehicles in 2026, significantly above its previous forecast of between 100,000 and 150,000 vehicles.
The higher target reflects the company’s expanding international footprint and the growing availability of its global EV models.
Leapmotor’s ability to maintain its recent delivery momentum will be closely watched during the final months of the year. The company needs to average nearly 110,000 vehicles per month to reach its 1 million-unit target, meaning September through December could provide an important test of whether its rapid growth can continue.
With strong year-over-year delivery growth, new international markets and Stellantis supporting its global expansion, Leapmotor is quickly emerging as one of China’s most significant electric vehicle manufacturers to watch.
