Current Motor, a Michigan-based electric vehicle development and manufacturing company that has developed electric Super Scooters, announced its first-to-market mini-fleet offering of four Super Scooters docked to a mobile, solar charging station.
Current Motor Super Scooters are 100% electric, zero emissions vehicles with a top speeds of 65+ mph, and can go up to 50 miles per charge.
Current Motor Super Scooters are branded with the fleet organization’s logo and messaging, and can be customized with a variety of delivery, carrying and security options.
The mobile solar charging station fits in a standard parking spot. While the solar charging station can be anchored for additional security, no trenching is required. Current Motor Super Scooters are tethered to the four charging outlets and can be fully charged in less than 6 hours by the station’s on-board 22-kilowatt-hour battery.
The charging station battery can be fully recharged in 8 hours by the solar panels, serving the normal use case of charging at night to ready the Super Scooters for daytime use. The mobile solar charging station is also delivered branded, and can be customized with a variety of communications and security options. More permanent installations can be tied to the grid. Telematics are included in the mini-fleet offering, including on-board 3G communications, GPS, and the mini-fleet dashboards and reports can be customized to track carbon savings, emissions reductions and fleet performance data.
The Current Motor Mini-fleet is priced at $99,950 US, which includes 4 branded Current Motor Super Scooters (3 standard model, 1 high performance), 1 branded mobile solar charging station, on-board telematics and installation. Freight, custom telematics software, custom dashboard/reports, custom delivery/security options for the Super Scooters, and grid tie and custom communications for the solar charging station are additional. Costs can be subsidized by tax credits and offset by substantial fuel savings.
