NRG eVgo Offers Free Electric Car Charging at LAX

eVgo-LAXElectric car drivers have a new charging option at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) starting this holiday season.

Thanks to the new “Park ‘N Charge” program, offered by NRG eVgo, a subsidiary of NRG Energy, Inc., and Park ‘N Fly, EV drivers that valet park at Park ‘N Fly LAX – located within walking distance of Terminal One – between now and March 31st can receive free electric car charging.

Park ‘N Fly customers can simply download a coupon redeemable for complimentary eVgo charging online at www.evgonetwork.com/PNFLAX; coupon download is available through February 16, 2014 and is redeemable at Park ‘N Fly LAX through March 31, 2014.

With the “Park ‘N Charge” complimentary charging coupon, customers pay for valet parking, drop their EV off at the Park ‘N Fly LAX valet lot and then take the shuttle to their terminal or walk to Terminal One knowing they will return from their trip to a fully charged car at no additional cost.  Park ‘N Fly @ Park One is located at 6351 West Century Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90045.

The Level 2 charging stations at Park ‘N Fly LAX are the first eVgo installations in the Los Angeles area and help support the state’s goal of 1.5 million zero-emission vehicles on California’s roadways by 2025. eVgo is building electric vehicle charging networks across the Los Angeles Basin, San Francisco Bay Area, San Diego area and San Joaquin Valley.

As the eVgo network is established, EV drivers will have access to hundreds of public fast-charging sites along with Level 2 charging stations at homes, offices, multi-family communities, airports, schools and hospitals.
