Infineon Technologies is enabling BMW’s Neue Klasse platform with advanced microcontrollers, Ethernet connectivity and smart power management, boosting efficiency, range and software-defined EV capabilities.
The all-electric BMW iX1 and iX2 are set to benefit from updated power electronics designed to reduce energy consumption and extend driving range.
The BMW Group is the first car manufacturer in Germany to receive approval for driver assistance systems for the new BMW iX3 in accordance with UN Regulation No. 171 for Driver Control Assistance Systems (DCAS).
The all-new BMW iX3—the first of BMW’s Neue Klasse, or “New Class” of vehicles—will make its North American Premiere at a special event at Bathhouse Studios in New York City on Sunday, September 21, 2025.
The new-generation BMW iX3, the first series-produced Neue Klasse model, gives customers their first on-the-road taste of a whole new era of Sheer Driving Pleasure.
Series production of the NEUE KLASSE will get underway in late 2025. The first production vehicle of this new generation of BMW models will have the model name BMW iX3.
