Pilot has reached a major milestone in the expansion of its electric vehicle charging network, growing its coast-to-coast infrastructure to more than 300 fast-charging locations across the United States. The latest rollout strengthens long-distance EV travel by giving drivers access to reliable high-power charging at one of North America’s largest travel center networks.
The Tennessee-based company added 50 new DC fast-charging sites during the first half of 2026, expanding across 25 states. As a result, EV charging is now available at more than one-third of Pilot’s travel center locations, marking a significant increase of more than 50% compared to the roughly 200 charging sites operating less than a year ago.
According to Pilot, the network now includes more than 300 charging stations nationwide. Data from EV charging platform Paren and the DCFC Tracker indicates the network currently features more than 1,300 individual charging stalls, making it one of the largest travel-center-based EV charging networks in the country.
Built for Long-Distance EV Travel
Pilot’s charging network has been developed in partnership with EVgo and is strategically located along major interstate highways, making it easier for EV drivers to travel across the country without leaving primary travel routes.
Each charging location is equipped with 350-kW EVgo DC fast chargers featuring dual-cable dispensers. When only one vehicle is connected, the charger can deliver its full 350-kW output. If two vehicles are charging simultaneously, the available power is shared between both connectors.
Many locations also support Plug-and-Charge functionality for compatible electric vehicles, allowing drivers to begin charging automatically after plugging in, provided a payment method has been configured in advance.
More Than Just a Charging Stop
Pilot continues to differentiate its EV charging experience by combining fast charging with the amenities travelers already expect from its travel centers.
Drivers have access to: well-lit charging areas, free Wi-Fi, restaurants and fresh food options, grocery and convenience stores, 24/7 charger monitoring and weather-protecting canopies at many locations.
The goal is to make charging stops as convenient and comfortable as traditional refueling stops for gasoline-powered vehicles.
Continued Investment in Travel Centers
Alongside expanding its charging infrastructure, Pilot continues investing in its broader travel center network.
During 2026, the company opened new travel centers in Chicopee, Massachusetts, and Ponce de Leon, Florida. It also completed modernization projects at 18 existing locations across 13 U.S. states and Canadian provinces, further improving facilities for both EV and conventional vehicle travelers.
