BYD ATTO 3 EVO Debuts in the UK with More Power, AWD Option and Faster Charging

BYD has officially confirmed UK pricing and specifications for the new BYD ATTO 3 EVO, bringing a comprehensive upgrade to one of its most popular electric SUVs.

Starting at £38,990, the ATTO 3 EVO introduces significant improvements in performance, range, charging, and technology—while maintaining strong value in the competitive EV segment.

Two Trim Levels with Enhanced Standard Equipment

The ATTO 3 EVO is offered in two trims: Design and Excellence, both featuring a simplified lineup packed with standard features.

The Design trim includes:

– 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster
– 15.6-inch rotating infotainment display
– Built-in Google services (Maps, Assistant, Play Store)
– Wireless charging with cooling
– Four USB-C ports
– 360-degree camera
– Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability
– Heat pump
– Heated front seats and ambient lighting
– 18-inch alloy wheels

Stepping up to the Excellence trim (£42,730) adds:

– Head-up display
– Heated rear seats
– Panoramic sunroof with electric sunshade
– Rear-Wheel Drive and All-Wheel Drive Options

One of the biggest upgrades comes under the skin. Built on BYD’s advanced E-Platform 3.0, the ATTO 3 EVO transitions from front-wheel drive to a more dynamic setup.

– Design (RWD): 309bhp and 380Nm, 0–62 mph in 5.5 seconds
– Excellence (AWD): 443bhp and 560Nm, 0–62 mph in just 3.9 seconds

This marks a dramatic leap in performance, placing the AWD version firmly among the quickest electric SUVs in its class.

Bigger Battery, Longer Range, Faster Charging

The ATTO 3 EVO is powered by BYD’s latest Blade Battery technology, using lithium iron phosphate (LFP) chemistry.

– Battery capacity: 74.8kWh
– Range (WLTP): Up to 316 miles
– DC fast charging: Up to 220kW
– 10–80% charge time: 25 minutes

Charging speeds have effectively doubled compared to the outgoing model, making the EVO far more competitive for long-distance driving.

Improved Ride, Handling and Practicality

Thanks to BYD’s Cell-to-Body construction, the battery is integrated into the vehicle’s structure, enhancing rigidity and safety. This also enables the introduction of a more advanced five-link rear suspension, improving ride comfort and handling dynamics.

In addition to the uprated driving experience, Cell-to-Body has allowed the ATTO 3 EVO to offer more storage space than its predecessor. This comes in the form of a boot which, at 490 litres, is 50 litres larger than before, plus a new ‘frunk’ which offers a further 95 litres of capacity under the bonnet.

These changes make the ATTO 3 EVO a more versatile option for families and daily use.

Warranty and Ownership

As with the rest of the BYD range, the ATTO 3 EVO comes with a six-year, 93,750-mile warranty, plus a battery cover of up to eight years or 155,350 miles.
