Ford Capri Collection Arrives with More Range, Power and Advanced Tech

Ford Motor Company has unveiled an upgraded version of its all-electric Capri, blending sports coupe styling with the everyday practicality of a family crossover.

Headlining the update is the new Capri Collection, a limited-edition model that celebrates the nameplate’s performance heritage while introducing meaningful improvements in range, performance, and in-car technology.

A Heritage-Inspired Design with Modern Appeal

The Capri Collection draws heavily on the legacy of classic Capri models, reinterpreting iconic design cues for the electric era. The standout Tribute Blue exterior pays homage to historic racing liveries, while more aggressive styling elements—including black-finished front and rear valances, side skirts, and a rear spoiler—give the car a sharper, sportier stance.

New 21-inch alloy wheels with machine-faced detailing and satin black accents further reinforce the Capri’s performance identity.

Inside, the cabin mirrors the exterior theme. A Black Onyx interior is accented by blue highlights on the soundbar and seatbelts, while a speckled dashboard and vertically striped seat inserts nod to the model’s motorsport roots.

More Range and Improved Performance

A key upgrade for the Capri Standard Range models is the introduction of a Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery. This new battery chemistry not only improves sustainability by reducing reliance on scarce raw materials, but also delivers a notable boost in efficiency.

The result is a driving range of up to 463 km, representing an increase of over 17 percent compared to previous versions.

Performance has also been enhanced with a more powerful electric motor producing 140 kW (190 PS) and 350 Nm of torque, enabling 0–100 km/h acceleration in 8.0 seconds—a strong figure for a vehicle that balances sportiness with family usability.

Smarter Driver Assistance for Everyday Confidence

Ford has expanded the Capri’s suite of advanced driver assistance systems to improve safety and convenience across a wide range of driving scenarios.

Highlights include:

– Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control with added Traffic Light Recognition, capable of slowing or stopping for red lights
– Reversing Assist, which can retrace the car’s path for up to 50 meters
– Trained Park Assist, allowing the vehicle to learn and repeat parking maneuvers
– Driver State Assist, which monitors driver attention and can bring the vehicle to a controlled stop in emergencies

These systems are designed to reduce stress behind the wheel while enhancing overall safety.

Pro Power Onboard: Turning Capri into a Mobile Energy Hub

Borrowed from Ford’s commercial vehicle lineup, Pro Power Onboard is now available for the Capri, transforming it into a portable energy source.

With up to 2.3 kW of output, users can power external devices such as laptops, camping gear, or even electric bikes. A built-in outlet in the trunk and an optional adapter for the charging port add flexibility for both everyday use and outdoor adventures.

Updated Infotainment with Greater Usability

The Capri’s SYNC Move infotainment system has also received a significant upgrade. The 14.6-inch movable display now runs on an Android-based platform, delivering smoother performance and improved usability.

Key enhancements include:

– Customizable app folders, similar to a smartphone interface
– Larger navigation and parking assist displays
– Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard

The refreshed interface is designed to make key information easier to access at a glance, reducing driver distraction.

Practical Features for Everyday Life

In addition to its performance and tech upgrades, the Capri remains focused on practicality. A new Travel Pack offers thoughtful storage solutions, including:

– A dog guard for pet owners
– A front trunk insert for organizing essentials
– A dedicated compartment for charging cables

Combined with standard one-pedal driving for smoother urban commuting, the Capri continues to position itself as a versatile electric vehicle for modern lifestyles.

Availability

The new Ford Capri range, including the exclusive Capri Collection, is available to order now, offering buyers a compelling mix of heritage-inspired design, improved efficiency, and cutting-edge technology.
