Genesis Motor Europe has officially announced its entry into the Italian market, marking another key step in the brand’s European expansion.
After launching in Germany, the UK, and Switzerland in 2021, Genesis is now bringing its premium all-electric lineup to Italy, with France, Spain, and the Netherlands set to follow.
From day one, Genesis will offer three fully electric vehicles tailored specifically for European customers:
– Genesis GV60 – A multi-award-winning luxury compact SUV and the brand’s first dedicated electric model, known for its cutting-edge design and advanced technology.
– Electrified GV70 – The flagship electric SUV, combining strong performance with refined comfort and everyday usability.
– Electrified G80 – A luxury electric sedan featuring class-leading refinement, an extended wheelbase, and the most comprehensive standard equipment of any Genesis model currently sold in Europe.
Each model reflects Genesis’ design-driven approach and Korean brand identity, while being optimized for European driving conditions and customer expectations.
Commenting on the launch, Peter Kronschnabl, Managing Director of Genesis Motor Europe, emphasized the brand’s long-term vision: “Genesis is an exciting brand with strong foundations and we have a long-term commitment to growing our presence in Europe. We are delighted to be launching the brand in Italy today, a market that represents tradition, design excellence, and high customer expectations from premium brands.”
Genesis also highlights its focus on building strong customer relationships through a curated retail and ownership experience.
Genesis will adopt its strategically curated retail model in Italy, focusing on high-visibility locations while delivering a premium customer experience. The first two Genesis retail spaces will open this spring in Rome and Padua.
Further retail expansion and a comprehensive service network are planned throughout the year.
Motorsport: Genesis Magma Racing to Compete in Italy
Italy will also play a key role in Genesis’ performance future. The brand will compete in its debut season of the 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) with Genesis Magma Racing and the GMR-001 hypercar.
The Italian round of the championship will take place in Imola from April 17–19, where Genesis will compete in the LMDh category. Technologies developed through this motorsport program are expected to influence future Genesis production vehicles, enhancing performance across the lineup.
A Growing Presence in Europe’s EV Market
With its arrival in Italy, Genesis continues to strengthen its position as a serious player in Europe’s premium electric vehicle segment—combining luxury, performance, and cutting-edge EV technology as it expands across the continent.
