Skoda Teases New Peaq Electric Seven-Seater SUV Ahead Of Global Debut

Skoda Auto has released the first exterior design sketches of its upcoming Peaq, a new all-electric seven-seat SUV that will become the brand’s flagship EV. The model is set to make its world premiere on June 23, 2026, in Monnetier-Mornex, France.

The newly revealed sketches provide an early look at the SUV’s bold styling, which closely follows Skoda’s evolving Modern Solid design language. The approach combines clean surfaces, strong proportions, and distinctive lighting signatures to create a confident and contemporary appearance.

According to Karl Neuhold, Head of Exterior Design at Skoda Auto, the Peaq was designed to embody the company’s next chapter in electric mobility while maintaining recognizable Skoda design elements.

“The exterior combines clean lines, balanced proportions and distinctive elements,” said Neuhold. “Features such as the T-shaped headlights and Tech-Deck Face express Skoda’s identity in a new electric era.”

Distinctive Front-End Design

At the front, the Peaq adopts a striking visual signature centered around slim T-shaped LED headlights and Skoda’s gloss-black Tech-Deck Face. A connecting light element links the headlights, creating a distinctive frame-like loop motif that immediately sets the SUV apart.

The lower section features a Volcano-inspired bumper design with a pronounced contour and strong horizontal lines, helping to emphasize the vehicle’s width and road presence.

Strong SUV Proportions

Viewed from the side, the Peaq showcases a high shoulder line and substantial D-pillars that reinforce its robust stance. The carefully sculpted surfaces contribute to a muscular yet clean appearance, while flush-mounted door handles enhance aerodynamics and create a seamless profile.

The sketches suggest a vehicle designed to balance practicality and premium styling, a combination increasingly important in the growing electric SUV segment.

Recognizable Rear Styling

At the rear, Skoda continues the design theme established at the front. T-shaped taillights are connected by a central element that recreates the loop motif, giving the Peaq a distinctive light signature that should be instantly recognizable both day and night.

The symmetrical front-to-rear design approach helps create a cohesive visual identity while reinforcing the SUV’s flagship status within Skoda’s expanding EV lineup.

World Premiere Scheduled For June 23

The Skoda Peaq is expected to play a key role in the automaker’s electric vehicle strategy, offering three rows of seating and a spacious family-focused package. While technical specifications remain under wraps, the upcoming world premiere is expected to reveal full details on performance, battery options, driving range, and technology features.

With its bold Modern Solid styling, distinctive lighting elements, and seven-seat configuration, the Peaq is shaping up to become one of Skoda’s most important electric vehicle launches to date.
