Smart introduces all-wheel drive options for the smart #1

After the successful market launch in Germany and an ever-increasing availability and delivered cars for customers, with the Pulse smart announced the adventurous variant of the smart #1 that will hit European roads in 2023. For the German market, it will be available to order starting the 22nd of June. Other European markets will follow subsequently in 2023.

The highlight of smart #1 Pulse is its all-wheel drive traction combined with additional premium options. It therefore perfectly supplements the lines that are available at launch: Pro+, Premium, Launch Edition and BRABUS. It will be positioned between the Premium and the BRABUS.

The Pulse offers a dual motor set up which enables all-wheel drive. Standard features include a 360° camera, halo roof, 10-inch head-up display and a gesture-powered tailgates. The car will come equipped with a heat pump and an extensive range of 400km with 22kW AC charging on board. With an acceleration of 4.5 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h and a towing capacity of 1.600 kg, the new Pulse line is an exceptional and adventurous companion. The Pulse broadens the #1’s accessibility by allowing it to be used in a wider range of road conditions. From rainy roads to higher altitude terrain with ice and snow, the Pulse inspires confidence in a variety of slippery conditions, whilst also providing outstanding driving dynamics.

Additionally, the new smart #1 Pulse is equipped with a wide range of active safety technologies such as Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) and further intelligent features like an automatic parking assistant. It’s high safety standard is also reflected in a five-star rating in the Euro NCAP crash test.

With this newest line extension, smart is constantly looking to match the needs of European customers best with its products, the variations, and options available.

In Germany, interested customers will have the opportunity to order the smart #1 Pulse with a starting price of 46.490 Euros.
