November plug-in sales in the Netherlands and Denmark

The Netherlands have registered 2.206 plug-in electric vehicles last month, down 53% Year-on-Year, a misleading number, as last year figures were inflated by the upcoming fiscal changes regarding plug-in hybrids.

Breaking down sales by model, the company car factor is visible in the November ranking, with all top 3 models being fleet-favorites: The VW Passat GTE was #1 with 363 units, the BMW 330e was second, with 264 registrations and the Mercedes C 350 e third, with 236.

In the Year-to-date ranking, the top four models are separated by less than 200 units, for now the Tesla Model S is in leadership, with 1.471 units, only five more than the second placed Volvo XC90 (1.466), while the BMW 330e is in #3 with 1.385 units, with the fourth Placed VW Passat GTE not far behind, with 1.280 registrations.

Meanwhile, the Danish plug-in electric vehicle car market registered 225 units last month, 137 of them belonging to the Renault Zoe, which is also the Year-to-date leader, with 477 sales.

The BMW i3 is a distant second, with 213 units (34 registered last month), followed by the Tesla Model X (59 units) and Model S (58 units).

Final mention for fuel cell vehicles, 15 units were registered this year, down two units regarding last year, with the Hyundai ix35 FCEV registering 10 units, followed by the Toyota Mirai, with 5 units.
