Leapmotor continued its impressive growth in October, delivering more than 106,000 vehicles worldwide and surpassing the 100,000-unit milestone for the fourth consecutive month. The latest figures underline the Chinese automaker’s rapid expansion as it strengthens its position in the global electric vehicle market and accelerates its international ambitions.
The company reported 106,127 global vehicle deliveries in October, representing a 50.99% increase compared with the same month last year. Deliveries also edged up 0.45% from September, although the month-on-month growth rate slowed from the previous month’s 2.45%.
October marked another record performance for Leapmotor, which is now approaching an important production milestone. The automaker expects its 2 millionth vehicle to roll off the production line in November, highlighting the speed at which its manufacturing operations have expanded.
Leapmotor’s strong October performance contributed to another substantial increase in its year-to-date deliveries.
Between January and October, the company delivered 772,666 vehicles globally, an increase of 65.88% compared with the same period last year.
The result means Leapmotor has achieved approximately 77.27% of its previously announced annual delivery target of 1 million vehicles. However, reaching that goal will require a significant acceleration during the final two months of the year.
To meet its target, Leapmotor needs to deliver another 227,334 vehicles in November and December, averaging 113,667 units per month. That would put monthly deliveries above October’s record level.
The company also confirmed that cumulative global deliveries had exceeded 1.9 million vehicles by the end of October. Its expected two-millionth vehicle in November would represent a separate manufacturing milestone.
International expansion is becoming an increasingly important part of Leapmotor’s growth strategy, particularly in Europe.
In October, mass production of the Leapmotor B10 officially began at the company’s Zaragoza facility in Spain. The factory represents an important step in the automaker’s efforts to establish local manufacturing operations and strengthen its European presence.
Local production could help the company strengthen its position in Europe’s competitive EV market while supporting its broader international expansion plans.
Leapmotor also used October’s Paris Motor Show to showcase its complete vehicle lineup to European audiences. The company presented the A05 and its flagship D19 SUV, marking the European debut of both models.
The introductions suggest that Leapmotor intends to expand its European portfolio beyond its current offerings as competition among affordable Chinese electric vehicle brands intensifies.
Europe is not the only market receiving attention. Leapmotor is also increasing its presence across Southeast Asia, where demand for electric vehicles is gradually expanding.
On October 30, the company launched the A10 electric compact SUV in Thailand, a model marketed internationally as the B03X. The vehicle has already arrived at 19 local showrooms, giving Thai customers access to another electric SUV from the Chinese brand.
Leapmotor plans to introduce an updated version of the C10 in Thailand before the end of the year. It also intends to expand its local sales and service network to 30 locations, improving customer access and aftersales support.
The expansion reflects a broader strategy to establish a stronger presence in international markets rather than relying primarily on domestic sales in China.
Leapmotor’s overseas expansion is supported by Leapmotor International, its joint venture with automotive giant Stellantis.
Stellantis owns a 51% stake in the venture, which holds exclusive rights to sell and manufacture Leapmotor vehicles outside Greater China.
The partnership provides Leapmotor with access to Stellantis’ established international distribution network, manufacturing infrastructure and market experience. This gives the Chinese automaker an opportunity to expand internationally more quickly than it might through an independent market-entry strategy.
With record deliveries, new production capacity in Europe and expanding operations in Southeast Asia, Leapmotor is building momentum in the global EV industry.
However, reaching its ambitious annual target of 1 million deliveries will require an exceptionally strong performance in November and December. The next two months will show whether the company can maintain its rapid growth and turn its international expansion into even higher sales volumes.
