Toyota is bringing a new level of adventure-focused styling to its electrified and family-oriented vehicles at the 2026 SEMA Show. The automaker has unveiled five Woodland concepts based on the RAV4, Grand Highlander, Sienna, bZ, and Crown Signia, demonstrating how everyday vehicles could become more capable-looking companions for outdoor adventures.
Developed with the help of Toyota’s CALTY Design Research team, the new concepts share a distinctive design theme featuring raised suspensions, all-terrain tires, oversized fender flares, and rugged exterior accessories. The lineup also highlights Toyota’s growing effort to bring adventure-inspired styling to vehicles with different powertrain configurations, including plug-in hybrids, hybrids, and fully electric models.
-focused lineups. Rather than concentrating exclusively on SUVs and pickup trucks, Toyota has extended its adventure-inspired treatment to a family minivan, a premium crossover, and an all-electric vehicle.
The five concepts include the RAV4 Woodland Plug-in Hybrid, Grand Highlander Woodland, Sienna Woodland, bZ Woodland, and Crown Signia Woodland.
Each vehicle receives a series of visual and functional modifications intended to create a more rugged appearance. Common features include lift kits, large over-fenders, satin-black wheels, all-terrain tires, roof racks, and crossbars.
Toyota has also given the entire lineup a distinctive Horizon Blue exterior finish. The color takes inspiration from the company’s historic 1960s palette, including classic models such as the Stout, Crown, and Corona.
Contrasting two-tone paint treatments on the roofs and hoods further distinguish the Woodland concepts from their standard production counterparts.

Toyota RAV4 Woodland Plug-in Hybrid Concept Targets Outdoor Enthusiasts
The RAV4 Woodland Plug-in Hybrid Concept demonstrates how Toyota’s popular compact SUV could combine electrified driving with a more adventurous personality.
Its lifted stance, rugged tires, and additional exterior equipment give it a tougher appearance than the regular RAV4. The concept also reinforces the idea that electrified crossovers do not necessarily have to sacrifice outdoor appeal.
With its plug-in hybrid powertrain, the RAV4 Woodland concept represents an interesting combination of everyday efficiency and adventure-focused styling.

Electric Toyota bZ Woodland Concept Expands the EV Adventure Theme
One of the most interesting vehicles in the collection is the bZ Woodland Concept, which extends Toyota’s Woodland design language into its battery-electric lineup.
The concept features the same rugged styling elements as the other vehicles, including raised suspension, all-terrain tires, and more prominent fender flares.
Its appearance suggests that Toyota sees potential for electric vehicles beyond conventional urban commuting. Adventure-oriented EVs are becoming an increasingly interesting segment as automakers explore ways to combine electric mobility with outdoor lifestyles.
However, Toyota has not announced specific technical upgrades, battery changes, range figures, or additional off-road performance specifications for the bZ Woodland concept.
Toyota Sienna Woodland Concept Gives the Minivan a Rugged Makeover
The Sienna Woodland Concept is perhaps the most unexpected member of the new lineup.
Instead of treating the minivan exclusively as a family transportation vehicle, Toyota has given it a much more adventurous appearance. The lifted suspension, chunky tires, roof equipment, and contrasting exterior finish make the Sienna look ready for camping trips and outdoor excursions.
The concept also demonstrates how adventure-oriented styling can be applied to vehicles that traditionally prioritize passenger comfort and practicality.
For families who need plenty of interior space but also enjoy spending time outdoors, the idea of a more rugged Sienna could be particularly appealing.

Grand Highlander and Crown Signia Get the Woodland Treatment
Toyota has also introduced Woodland versions of the Grand Highlander and Crown Signia.
The Grand Highlander Woodland Concept brings a tougher appearance to Toyota’s larger family SUV, combining its spacious proportions with more aggressive exterior styling.
Meanwhile, the Crown Signia Woodland Concept takes a different approach by applying the same adventure-inspired design language to a more premium crossover.

Both vehicles feature the common Woodland styling elements, creating a consistent identity across Toyota’s expanding concept family.
The two concepts illustrate that the Woodland treatment is not limited to a particular vehicle category or price segment. Instead, Toyota is exploring how different models could appeal to drivers looking for a more distinctive outdoor-oriented appearance.
Toyota Wants Electrified Vehicles to Be More Adventure-Ready
The Woodland concept family sends a clear message about Toyota’s approach to modern adventure vehicles.
Rather than limiting rugged styling to traditional SUVs and trucks, the automaker is exploring how plug-in hybrids, hybrid models, and battery-electric vehicles can fit into the outdoor lifestyle market.
The inclusion of the electric bZ Woodland Concept is particularly notable as manufacturers continue to explore new applications for electric mobility.
Although these five concepts do not confirm future production plans, they demonstrate that Toyota is interested in making adventure-inspired vehicles available across a much broader section of its lineup.
Whether any of these ideas eventually reach showrooms remains uncertain, but the Woodland concepts offer an intriguing preview of what could come next for Toyota’s electrified and family-focused vehicles.
