Leapmotor B10 Production Confirmed at Stellantis Spain Plant for 2026

Stellantis has officially confirmed that the all-electric Leapmotor B10 will enter production at its Zaragoza-area plant in Spain in the second half of 2026, marking a significant milestone for both companies’ European EV strategy.

The announcement was made by Stellantis CEO Antonio Filosa during the group’s financial results presentation. While plans to localize Leapmotor production in Europe had been widely expected, this is the first formal confirmation of the timeline.

Production Set for Figueruelas Plant Near Zaragoza

The B10 will be built at Stellantis’ Figueruelas factory near Zaragoza — one of the automaker’s key Spanish manufacturing hubs. Localized production strengthens Stellantis’ European EV footprint and reduces reliance on imports from China.

Supplier preparations are already underway. Lieder Automotive — a joint venture between China’s Duoli Technology and Spain’s Fagor Ederlan — is set to begin producing chassis components for the B10 in July 2026. The timeline aligns with the planned vehicle production launch later that year.

More Leapmotor Models to Follow

While Filosa confirmed only the B10 for now, additional models are expected to roll off the Spanish production line starting in 2027. According to prior statements from Leapmotor management, the B05, A05, and A10 are also slated for European production.

Notably, the A10 will be marketed in Europe under a different name: the B03X.

This broader product rollout signals a long-term commitment to expanding Leapmotor’s presence across the continent.

Leapmotor B10: Compact Electric SUV for Europe

The Leapmotor B10 is a 4.52-meter-long battery-electric SUV positioned between the compact and mid-size segments — one of Europe’s most competitive EV categories.

Currently imported models are priced in Germany from €29,990, with the larger battery, fully equipped version reaching €33,990. Local production in Spain could improve supply stability and potentially support more competitive pricing in key European markets.

Strengthening the Stellantis–Leapmotor Partnership

International operations are managed through Leapmotor International, a joint venture owned 51% by Stellantis and 49% by Leapmotor. The entity oversees distribution and production outside China.

Within China, Leapmotor retains control over development, production, and sales. Currently, Leapmotor International does not have direct access to the Chinese company’s core technologies. However, discussions are reportedly ongoing regarding potential technology sharing for future Stellantis models.

If confirmed, such cooperation could accelerate EV platform integration within Stellantis’ global portfolio.

Rapid European Network Expansion

Leapmotor is simultaneously expanding its European retail and service presence through the Stellantis ecosystem. The brand now operates more than 800 sales and service points across Europe — double the footprint compared to 2024.

In 2025 alone, Leapmotor entered ten additional European markets, including Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary, Czechia, Denmark, Iceland, Ireland, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Sweden.

The results are already visible. Leapmotor recorded more than 17,000 vehicle sales in Europe in Q4 2025, compared to roughly 1,300 units in the same period a year earlier — a dramatic year-over-year increase.

With production set for H2 2026, the Zaragoza-built B10 could become a key volume model in Europe’s increasingly crowded electric SUV market.
