Leapmotor A05 Electric Hatchback Debuts With Up to 510 km Range

Leapmotor has introduced the all-new A05, which will be marketed globally as the B03, expanding its growing electric vehicle lineup with a smart compact hatchback designed for urban drivers. Combining modern styling, intelligent technology and everyday practicality, the new model aims to raise the bar in the competitive compact EV segment.

Targeted primarily at younger customers looking for an affordable yet technology-rich electric car, the Leapmotor A05 reflects the company’s strategy of making advanced EV technology more accessible without compromising on comfort, safety or design.

Modern Design Meets Everyday Practicality

The Leapmotor A05 follows the brand’s latest design language, featuring clean lines, balanced proportions and a contemporary appearance. The hatchback blends aerodynamic styling with premium design elements to create a vehicle that looks more upscale than its compact dimensions suggest.

Measuring 4,175 mm long, 1,790 mm wide and 1,560 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,605 mm, the A05 offers a footprint well suited to city driving while maximizing interior space for passengers and cargo.

The exterior is complemented by distinctive lighting signatures and multiple customization options, while the cabin features soft-touch materials, modern finishes and carefully selected color combinations that create a welcoming atmosphere.

Up to 510 km WLTC Driving Range

Leapmotor says the A05 will offer up to 510 km (317 miles) of WLTC driving range, although final figures remain subject to homologation.

The compact EV also supports fast charging, helping reduce charging times and making longer journeys more convenient. Together with its efficient electric powertrain, the range and charging capabilities position the A05 as a practical choice for both daily commuting and weekend travel.

AI-Powered Cabin and Flexible Interior

Inside, the A05 emphasizes versatility and connectivity. The cabin has been designed to accommodate modern lifestyles with flexible seating arrangements, practical storage compartments and a large dual-layer cargo area.

The vehicle also introduces a next-generation AI-powered digital experience, bringing advanced intelligent functions and connected services to the compact segment. Combined with its user-friendly layout, the technology is intended to simplify everyday driving while enhancing comfort and convenience.

Advanced Driver Assistance and Safety

Leapmotor built the A05 around four key principles: attractive design, effortless driving, engaging technology and reassuring safety.

These goals are reflected in the inclusion of advanced driver assistance technologies designed to improve confidence behind the wheel. Intelligent safety systems work alongside the vehicle’s digital platform to provide a smarter and more secure driving experience for urban and suburban environments.

Strengthening Leapmotor’s Global EV Portfolio

With the launch of the A05 (B03), Leapmotor continues its push to bring premium electric vehicle technologies to a wider audience. The combination of competitive driving range, intelligent features, spacious interior and contemporary styling makes the new hatchback an important addition to the company’s expanding global portfolio.

As demand for affordable electric vehicles continues to grow, the Leapmotor A05 is expected to strengthen the brand’s position in the compact EV market by offering buyers a balanced package of technology, practicality and value.
