ChargePoint and RAW Charging to Install 300+ DC Fast Chargers Across the UK

The UK’s EV charging network is set for a major boost. ChargePoint and RAW Charging have announced a new multiyear partnership to roll out more than 300 DC fast charge points across the United Kingdom — strengthening access to reliable, high-speed charging at key destinations nationwide.

The agreement represents an initial investment of $7.5 million (approximately £6 million) and extends RAW Charging’s long-standing collaboration with ChargePoint as its core technology partner.

The partnership covers DC fast charging hardware, ChargePoint’s cloud-based software platform and ongoing maintenance and reliability services.

For UK EV drivers, this means more rapid chargers in convenient, high-traffic locations — particularly in hospitality, retail and leisure environments.

Focus on Destination Charging, Not Just Motorways

Unlike many charging rollouts focused primarily on motorway service areas, RAW Charging is positioning itself as a leader in destination charging — installing chargers where drivers already spend time.

Through its “Connecting Amazing Places” campaign, RAW Charging is embedding EV infrastructure at some of the UK’s most visited destinations, allowing drivers to charge while shopping, dining or visiting attractions.

This approach supports everyday EV use and reduces reliance on en-route rapid charging hubs.

Reliable Charging Backed by Advanced Technology

All new installations will operate on the ChargePoint platform, which provides real-time station location and availability data, alongside contactless, app based and roaming payment options and remote diagnostics and network monitoring.

The network will also be supported by ChargePoint’s Assure Pro service, designed to maximise uptime and minimise maintenance disruptions — a critical factor as reliability becomes a key issue for UK drivers.

With public charging reliability under increasing scrutiny, ensuring high network availability is essential to building driver confidence.

Supporting the UK’s 2035 Zero-Emission Mandate

The expansion comes at a crucial time for the UK EV market. With over one million electric vehicles already on British roads and a government mandate requiring 100% of new car and van sales to be zero-emission by 2035, charging infrastructure must scale rapidly.

This partnership directly supports that transition by increasing access to dependable rapid charging — particularly in high-footfall urban and suburban locations.
