
The Swedish plug-in vehicle market registered 1.434 units in March, up 15% regarding the same month last year, with the market share above 4%.
The VW Passat GTE was the best-selling car for the third time in a row, with a 272 deliveries, followed by the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV, with 188 registrations, the Nissan Leaf, with 185 units, and Tesla Model S, with 182 units last month, its best monthly result since its introduction in 2013.
Looking at the YTD ranking, the Passat GTE is first with 1,182 registrations, followed by Outlander PHEV with 555 deliveries in second place, Nissan Leaf with 314 deliveries in third place and Tesla Model S in fourth place with 283 registrations.
In the Light Commercial Vehicles (N1) class, registrations were up 55% to 34 units, with the Renault Kangoo ZE overcoming the Nissan e-NV200, winning by 25 to 8 units in March, with the French model also leading the YTD ranking, with 59 units.
Looking at other alternative fuels, this year CNG passenger cars are down 16% Year-on-year, to 755 units, while on the fuel cell front, the Toyota Mirai registered 2 units last month, increasing the yearly tally to 5 units in 2017, while Hyundai registered only one ix35 FCEV in the same period.
