POD Point to Lease Charging Points

pod-pointPOD Point have partnered with Tower Leasing to offer businesses a 3-year lease option on charging points. This is the first partnership of its kind in Europe to offer a low cost solution for electric car charging.

For less than £50/month, businesses can lease a POD point charging unit, have it installed professionally and gain immediate access to the Pay-as-you-Go facilities. Charging points normally cost over £1000 + VAT including installation and 3 year warranty.

This innovative business model has its benefits for both business owners and consumers. By installing charging points for the public to use, businesses will not only improve their sustainability credentials, but will attract new customers by having a public POD Point visible on the national charge point map.

This in turn will increase customer loyalty, as the site will be seen as a convenient place to charge. Retailers will benefit hugely from customers charging their cars with them, through increased dwell time and average spend per visit. This is also an opportunity for businesses to attract and retain staff, as they are able to offer an equivalent pay rise through free fuel while they park at work.

The cost of leasing a charging point is so low, that it will take just two charges a day to cover rental and energy costs. As the EV market continues to grow, businesses will have the ability to start generating revenue from charging – something which has never been done before.
