Sales of plug-in electric vehicles in the U.S. continued their strong pace in November, as the Nissan LEAF set a new November record. This marks LEAF’s 22nd consecutive month of year-over-year sales increases.

Nissan LEAF set a November record with 2,687 sales, an increase of 34.1 percent from November 2013. In terms of year-to-date results in 2014, sales of the Nissan LEAF now stand at 27,098, an improvement of 35.% compared with 2013 when 20,081 were sold.
Chevrolet Volt finished last month with 1,336 deliveries, a decrease of 30.4 percent compared to November 2013 when 1,920 were sold.. With a new 2016 Volt to be introduced at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show, sales of current Volt models seem likely to remain low for the next several months. In terms of year-to-date results in, sales of the Chevrolet Volt now stand at 17,315, which is down by 16.4% compared with 2013 when 20,702 were sold.
|Toyota Prius Plug-in |
Prius Plug-in Hybrid sold just 451 units during the month, which is down 57.4% compared to September 2013 when 1,100 were sold. In terms of year-to-date results in 2014, sales of the Prius Plug-in Hybrid now stand at 12,772, an improvement of 14.8% compared with 2013 when 11,169 were sold.

Ford C-MAX Energi sold 644 units in November. Previously in October, Ford sold also 644 plug-ins. Overall for the year, 7,774 Ford C-MAX Energi plug-ins have been sold.
|Ford Fusion Energi |
Ford Fusion Energi finished last month with 752 deliveries, after selling 686 units in October. June was the best-ever month for Ford Fusion Energi with 1,939 sales, an increase of 44.5 percent over May, the previous best-ever month for the fusion Energi. Overall Ford has now sold 10,761 Fusion Energi plug-ins.
GM sold 155 Cadillac ELRs last month, which brings the total amount sold through November to 1,192 units. The 2014 Cadillac ELR has a starting price of $75,995, including a $995 destination charge but excluding tax, title, license and dealer fees.

Porsche Panamera S E-Hybrids finished last month with 57 deliveries. Previously in October, Panamera S E-Hybrid sold 97units. In terms of year-to-date results in 2014, sales of the Panamera S E-Hybrid now stand at 848 units.

Porsche sold 45 Cayenne S E-Hybrid SUVs in its debut month in the US.The 2015 Porsche Cayenne S E-Hybrid is the first plug-in hybrid in the premium SUV segment. The Cayenne S Hybrid has a lithium-ion traction battery with an energy capacity of 10.8 kWh, which enables an all-electric driving range of 11 to 22 miles, combined fuel consumption is 39 mpg US with 79 g/km of CO2. The 2015 Cayenne S-E-Hybrid is available starting at $76,400.
|Tesla Model S – Does not report exactly monthly sales|
Tesla Motors delivered 7,579 Model S vehicles and produced 8,763 of the cars, according to second-quarter results. The California-based electric carmaker lowered its forecast for revenue and deliveries for the third quarter to 7,800 vehicles from 9,500 because it had to shut down its factory in Fremont, Calif., to install equipment in July. Tesla said it should be able to ramp up production in the final three months of 2014 to reach its sales goal of 35,000

Deliveries of the Ford Focus Electric were 191 in November, after selling 186 units in October. Ford sold record 264 Focus Electric EVs in August and 198 units EVs in July, which was just a single unit more compared to June’s number of 197. Overall Ford has now sold 1,911 Focus Electric EVs.

BMW i3 achieved 816 sales last month, down from the 1,159 units it sold in October. The total amount sold in the first 6 months on the market now stand at 5,079 units. BMW is now offering a new low cost DC fast charger for $6,548 at authorized BMW partners.

BMW i8 sold 126 plug-in hybrid sports cars in November. BMW sold 204 units in October, 58 units during September and nine i8 plug-in hybrid sports cars in its debut month in the US in August. BMW delivered the first plug-in hybrid BMW i8 sport cars at Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, and auctioned One-of-a-kind BMW i8 Concours d’Elegance Edition for $825,000. |Mercedes-Benz B-Class Electric Drive|
Mercedes-Benz B-Class Electric Drive finished last month with 193 deliveries, after selling 98 in October and 65 in September. Mercedes-Benz sold 450 B-Class Electric Drive cars in the first 5 months on the market. The B-Class Electric Drive starts from $41,450 and has an all-electric range of 87 miles. For an extra $600, one can purchase the extended range package which allows the driver go 104 miles.
Volkswagen e-Gold sold 119 units in its first full month on the market. The all-electric 2015 Volkswagen e-Golf is on sale at participating dealerships in select states. The e-Golf was rated by the EPA at126 city, 105 highway, and 116 combined MPGe and given a range of up to 83 miles.
|Kia Soul EV|
Kia Soul EV sold 140 units during November and 109 units in its debut month in the US in October. Offered in two trims, Base and + (Plus), the 2015 Kia Soul EV MSRP will be $33,700 (not including federal tax rebate of $7,500) for the Base and $35,700 for the Plus (not including federal tax rebate of $7,500). With an expected introductory lease price of $249 per month, the Soul EV boasts best-in-class EPA-estimated range of 93 miles and MPGe of 92 miles on the highway and 120 miles in the city (105 miles combined).
|Smart Fortwo Electric Drive |
Last month, smart fortwo ED sold an all-time record 313 units, after selling 150 units in October and 182 units in September. In terms of year-to-date results in 2014, sales of the smart fortwo ED now stand at 2,243 units.
|Fiat 500e |
For November, Fiat 500e sold 100 units. Previously in October, Fiat 500e sold 140 units. Overall Fiat has now sold 1,678 500e EVs. The 2013 Fiat 500e is priced at $32,500, which includes a $700 destination charge. However, eligible California residents may be able to purchase the 2013 Fiat 500e for as low as $20,500, after federal credits.
|Chevrolet Spark EV|
GM sold just 61 Spark EVs in November. Previously in October, September, August and July, the Spark EV sold 58, 51, 80 and 128 units respectively. In May, the Chevrolet Spark EVs set an all-time record in 182 deliveries. In terms of year-to-date results in 2014, sales of the Chevrolet Spark EV now stand at 1,014.

The 2014 Honda Accord Plug-In Hybrid logged 43 units last month. Previously in October, September, August, July, June, May, April, March, February and January, Accord Plug-in Hybrid sold 34, 42, 46, 41, 28, 46, 37, 18, 24 and 27 units respectively. In terms of year-to-date results in 2014, sales of the Accord Plug-In Hybrid now stand at 386.
|Honda Fit EV|
Honda sold just five Fit EVs in November. Previously in October, Honda Fit EV sold 23 units. In terms of year-to-date results in 2014, sales of the Fit EV now stand at 375 units. A total of 1,037 Fit EVs has been sold since the vehicle hit the market in mid-2012. Honda Fit EV production will be halted this fall when the automaker produces its 1,100th Fit EV. With the Fit EV being halted this fall, Honda will be left without a all-electric vehicle to compete in the growing segment.

Toyota RAV4 EV sold 73 units in November, after selling 97 units in October and 125 units in September. In terms of year-to-date results in 2014, sales of the Toyota RAV4 EV now stand at 1,137 units.
Mitsubishi sold 18 i-MiEV electric cars in November. Previously in October, Mitsubishi sold 17 i-MiEV electric cars. In terms of year-to-date results in 2014, sales of the i-MiEV now stand at 184 units. 2014 Mitsubishi i-MiEV starts at $22,995 including CHAdeMO DC quick charge port, representing a $6,130 reduction from the starting price of the 2012 model that preceded it.
