General Motors will reportedly unveil Chevrolet Volt-based MPV at the Beijing Motor Show next week.
GMInsideNews has provided a patent sketch for the vehicle, which was filed in August of 2009, but made available just yesterday. GM designer Bob Boniface, the lead designer for the GM’s Voltec vehicles, is associated with the sketch.
GM’s Voltec consists of an electric drivetrain that can run on various sources of energy. It consists of a 53 kW direct engine-mounted generator and non-turbo four-cylinder 1.4-litre engine that allows drivers to keep going when the electric battery needs to be recharged.
No further details about the MPV have been released.
