Kia is expanding its electric performance range in Europe with three new GT models: the Kia EV3 GT, Kia EV4 GT and Kia EV5 GT.
First presented at the 2026 Brussels Motor Show, the three electric vehicles bring Kia’s GT philosophy to three very different segments: a compact SUV, a low-slung hatchback and fastback, and a larger C-SUV.
The new models join the existing EV6 GT and EV9 GT, creating a five-model Kia GT family focused on performance, driver engagement and everyday usability.
Rather than concentrating solely on acceleration, Kia’s new GT models combine dual-motor all-wheel drive, dedicated suspension and steering tuning, torque vectoring, simulated gear shifts and artificial driving sounds to make electric performance feel more involving.
Three new electric GT models
The EV3 GT, EV4 GT and EV5 GT share a common performance philosophy but have significantly different personalities.
All three feature dual-motor all-wheel drive, GT Mode, Active Sound Design, Virtual Gear Shift and dedicated GT interfaces. GT-specific exterior and interior touches include neon-green accents, sport seats, special steering wheels and 20-inch GT alloy wheels.
Kia has also focused on retaining the comfort and practicality expected from its mainstream electric vehicles, meaning the GT models are designed for everyday driving rather than being purely track-focused machines.
The broader Kia GT philosophy builds on performance models such as the Ceed GT, ProCeed GT and Stinger GT before moving into the electric era with the EV6 GT and EV9 GT. The EV3 GT, EV4 GT and EV5 GT now extend that approach into more accessible and varied vehicle segments.
Kia EV3 GT: 292 PS compact electric SUV
The Kia EV3 GT brings the GT formula to Kia’s compact electric SUV.
Its dual-motor AWD system produces 215 kW (292 PS) and 468 Nm of torque, allowing the EV3 GT to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds.
The compact SUV has been tuned around agility and responsiveness, with Kia targeting a balance between quick electric performance, composed handling and everyday usability.
GT-specific equipment includes semi-bucket sports seats with suede and neon-green accents, a Performance Timer, Harman Kardon premium audio and a range of performance technologies.
These include GT Mode, Launch Control, Electric Dynamic Torque Vectoring Control, Preview Electronic Controlled Suspension, Virtual Gear Shift and Active Sound Design.
The result is a compact EV intended to provide a more energetic driving experience without giving up the practicality associated with the EV3.
Kia EV4 GT: the driver-focused choice
The Kia EV4 GT takes a more road-focused approach, with both hatchback and fastback body styles.
Like the EV3 GT, it uses a dual-motor AWD system producing 215 kW (292 PS) and 468 Nm. The EV4 GT can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds.
Range varies by body style. Kia quotes a WLTP range of up to 537 km for the fastback and 505 km for the hatchback.
The EV4 GT’s lower stance and low centre of gravity are intended to give it a more agile and connected character. Chassis upgrades focus on steering response, suspension control and cornering confidence.
Kia has also developed specific throttle tuning with different characteristics across the pedal’s travel. The setup is designed to provide smooth low-speed control while allowing greater freedom and stronger torque response as the accelerator is pressed further.
Inside, the EV4 GT gets semi-bucket sports seats, a three-spoke steering wheel, black and neon-green interior details, GT logo projection under the front doors, a Performance Timer and Harman Kardon audio.
Among the three new GT models, the EV4 GT is positioned as the most driver-oriented option.
Kia EV5 GT: performance meets practicality
The Kia EV5 GT expands the GT lineup into the C-SUV segment, combining increased performance with the additional space and versatility of a larger electric SUV.
Its dual-motor AWD system develops 225 kW (306 PS) and 480 Nm, enabling a 0-100 km/h time of 6.2 seconds.
The EV5 GT uses an 81.4-kWh battery and offers a WLTP range of up to 476 km.
Rather than emphasizing outright acceleration, the EV5 GT is designed around confident traction, ride composure and long-distance comfort. Its larger SUV body also makes it the most family-oriented of the three new GT models.
One unusual feature is Kia Pet Mode, which is designed to maintain a comfortable cabin temperature when a pet is briefly left inside the vehicle. The system locks the doors, disables interior switches and alarms, and displays an owner message on the screen.
Kia GT technology goes beyond horsepower
The new GT models are not defined solely by their motors.
Kia has developed the suspension, steering, braking and software systems to create a more engaging driving experience. The suspension has been tested across a variety of European roads and weather conditions, including testing in the UK, Germany, Italy, Spain and Sweden.
Higher spring rates provide a firmer ride, while revised anti-roll bars help reduce body roll. The brakes have also been calibrated specifically for the GT models.
One of the more advanced features is ‘Preview Electronic Controlled Suspension’. A camera analyzes the road ahead and uses that information to adjust damping, helping improve ride comfort and stability.
The steering system has also been revised, while the Integrated Electric Booster coordinates regenerative braking to improve energy recuperation, braking efficiency and vehicle stability.
Drivers can choose between Normal, Sport and GT modes. Normal prioritizes comfort, Sport increases responsiveness and GT provides the most aggressive damping and cornering characteristics.
Electronic Stability Control can also be configured through three different setups, while torque vectoring adjusts power delivered to individual wheels to enhance cornering behavior within the vehicle’s safety limits.
Virtual Gear Shift and Active Sound Design
Kia is also using software and sound to make its electric GT models feel more engaging.
Virtual Gear Shift simulates gear changes and shift sensations, giving drivers a more familiar sense of progression despite the electric powertrain.
Active Sound Design adds dynamic sound feedback based on vehicle speed, acceleration and torque. The system uses the vehicle’s eight speakers to create a high-performance-inspired soundscape inside the cabin.
There is also a distinctive coasting sound that operates above 100 km/h when Virtual Gear Shift is not activated.
Other performance-focused features include Launch Control, Electric Dynamic Torque Vectoring Control, dedicated GT displays and a Performance Timer.
A wider Kia electric GT family
With the arrival of the EV3 GT, EV4 GT and EV5 GT, Kia now has a much broader electric performance lineup.
The EV3 GT brings performance to the compact SUV segment, while the EV4 GT focuses more heavily on driver engagement through its low-slung hatchback and fastback designs. The EV5 GT takes the GT formula into a larger, more practical C-SUV.
They join the EV6 GT and EV9 GT, giving Kia five distinct electric GT models.
The strategy highlights Kia’s approach to electric performance: acceleration remains important, but performance is also about steering, suspension, braking, traction, sound and the overall connection between driver and vehicle.
