Lucid has unveiled the 2027 Lucid Gravity GT-S, a performance-focused version of its luxury electric SUV that combines supercar-rivaling acceleration with three-row seating for up to seven adults.
Inspired by the high-performance Lucid Air Sapphire, the Gravity GT-S keeps the Gravity’s dual-motor all-wheel-drive layout but raises output to an impressive 1,070 horsepower. That makes it one of the most powerful three-row SUVs available in the U.S., surpassing the 1,025-hp Rivian R1S Quad.
The result is a large luxury SUV capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.1 seconds. Lucid is effectively bringing supercar performance to a vehicle designed to carry an entire family and their luggage in comfort.
1,070 HP Makes the Gravity GT-S a Performance SUV
The biggest change for the Gravity GT-S is its powertrain. With 1,070 hp on tap, the dual-motor electric SUV delivers performance that would have been difficult to imagine from a three-row vehicle just a few years ago.
The 0-60 mph sprint takes 3.1 seconds, putting the Gravity GT-S firmly into high-performance territory. Its closest electric rival is the quad-motor Rivian R1S, although Lucid achieves its output with two motors rather than four.
The GT-S is also designed to be more than a straight-line performance machine.
Lucid includes its Dynamic Handling Package as standard, adding independent rear-wheel steering and an adaptive three-chamber air suspension. The suspension can lower the SUV at higher speeds to improve stability and aerodynamic performance, while the rear-wheel steering is designed to make the large Gravity more agile.
Together, the technology is intended to improve handling, stability and ride comfort without sacrificing the everyday usability expected from a luxury three-row SUV.
Supercar Performance With Room for Seven
Performance is only part of the Gravity GT-S formula.
The SUV retains the spacious interior and flexible packaging that define the Gravity lineup, with seating for up to seven adults and generous cargo capacity. That combination gives the GT-S an unusual position in the EV market: it can deliver 1,070 hp and a 3.1-second 0-60 mph time while still functioning as a practical family vehicle.
Lucid has increasingly positioned the Gravity as an SUV that does not require buyers to choose between performance, comfort, space and efficiency. The GT-S takes that philosophy to its most extreme level yet.
The standard Dynamic Handling Package further reinforces that approach by combining sharper driving dynamics with the air suspension’s ability to maintain a comfortable ride.
Sapphire-Inspired Exterior and Interior Design
The Gravity GT-S also receives a series of visual upgrades intended to distinguish it from other Gravity models.
Blue accents are a major part of the GT-S design theme. They include blue-painted brake calipers, a blue Lucid Bear logo on the front fender and additional blue exterior details.
Inside, the SUV uses a Mojave PurLuxe Premium interior with blue accents throughout the cabin. Blue piping appears across the first and second rows, while blue seatbelts and blue stitching are used on the steering wheel, door armrests and front center armrest.
The front seats also feature Lucid Bear logo embossing on the headrests, while a blue steering-wheel marker adds another performance-oriented detail.
The design cues are clearly inspired by the Lucid Air Sapphire, giving the Gravity GT-S a more aggressive character without dramatically changing the SUV’s underlying design.
Range and Charging Details
Lucid has not yet provided separate EPA range and charging figures specifically for the Gravity GT-S.
The existing Gravity Grand Touring provides a useful indication of what to expect. The Grand Touring is rated for up to 450 miles of EPA-estimated range and supports DC fast charging at up to 400 kW. Lucid says the Gravity Grand Touring can add up to 200 miles of range in under 11 minutes under suitable charging conditions.
The GT-S could have different efficiency and range figures because of its performance-focused powertrain and chassis setup, so official EPA numbers will be important once Lucid releases them.
2027 Lucid Gravity GT-S Price
The 2027 Lucid Gravity GT-S starts at $127,750 in the United States, before tax, title, license, options, destination and documentation fees. Current reporting on the launch confirms the $127,750 starting price.
Lucid lists a $1,300 Tahoe leather interior option, while destination and delivery adds $1,850.
That makes the Gravity GT-S significantly less expensive than the limited-production Gravity Dream Edition, while retaining the same headline 1,070-hp output.
The pricing also puts the GT-S in direct competition with other high-performance luxury electric SUVs, including the quad-motor Rivian R1S.
