XPENG X9 Electric MPV Arrives in the UK With Up to 382 Miles of Range

XPENG has confirmed that the all-electric XPENG X9 will launch in the UK, with customer deliveries scheduled to begin in Q3 2026. Designed as a premium seven-seat MPV, the X9 combines long-range capability, ultra-fast charging, and an AI-powered cabin to compete in the growing luxury electric people carrier segment.

Available in Standard Range, Long Range, and All-Wheel Drive (AWD) variants, the XPENG X9 starts from £74,990 and features the brand’s latest 800-volt EV platform, enabling some of the fastest charging speeds available in its class.

The XPENG X9 has been engineered to deliver a first-class experience for both drivers and passengers. Its futuristic exterior styling is paired with a spacious lounge-inspired interior, offering seating for up to seven occupants.

Inside, the cabin integrates XPENG’s latest AI-driven smart cockpit technology, while premium materials and intelligent features create a luxurious environment suitable for family travel, executive transport, and long-distance journeys.

The standard interior is finished in Meteorite Black leather, with an optional Moon Shadow Coffee color scheme available.

Three Versions With Up to 382 Miles of Range

UK buyers can choose from three powertrain options:

XPENG X9 Standard Range

The entry-level model uses a single front-mounted electric motor producing 235 kW (320 PS) and 450 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0-62 mph in 8.2 seconds, reaches a top speed of 124 mph, and delivers a WLTP driving range of up to 332 miles.

XPENG X9 Long Range

Also powered by the same 235 kW front-wheel-drive motor, the Long Range model reduces the 0-62 mph sprint to 7.75 seconds while extending the WLTP range to 382 miles, making it the longest-range version in the lineup.

XPENG X9 AWD

The flagship AWD variant adds a second electric motor for a combined output of 370 kW (503 PS) and 640 Nm of torque. The intelligent all-wheel-drive system automatically engages the rear motor when additional traction or performance is required.

Performance improves significantly, with 0-62 mph achieved in just 5.9 seconds, while the top speed remains 124 mph. The AWD model offers a WLTP range of up to 360 miles.

800-Volt Architecture Enables 12-Minute Fast Charging

Every XPENG X9 sold in the UK features the company’s advanced 800-volt electrical architecture, allowing exceptionally rapid DC fast charging.

Under ideal conditions, the battery can recharge from 10% to 80% in approximately 12 minutes, helping reduce charging stops during longer trips and making the X9 one of the quickest-charging electric MPVs on sale.

Colors and Availability

The XPENG X9 comes standard in Arctic White, while buyers can also choose from Silver Frost, Midnight Black, and Graphite Grey.

UK pricing is as follows:

– Standard Range: £74,990
– Long Range: £79,990
– AWD: £84,990

Customer deliveries are expected to begin in Q3 2026.

According to XPENG UK Sales Director Jonny Miller, the X9 has been developed to set a new benchmark for intelligent luxury in the electric MPV segment, combining spacious practicality with advanced technology and premium comfort.

A New Premium Electric MPV for the UK Market

With seating for seven, a maximum 382-mile WLTP range, ultra-fast 12-minute charging, and a high-tech AI-powered cabin, the XPENG X9 aims to offer an attractive alternative for buyers seeking a luxury electric people carrier.

As demand for spacious electric family vehicles continues to grow, the X9 enters the UK market with competitive performance, impressive charging capability, and premium features designed for both private owners and executive transport operators.
