Skoda has officially confirmed UK pricing, specifications and order details for the new all-electric Skoda Epiq. Positioned as an entry-level electric SUV, the Epiq combines compact dimensions, practical packaging and competitive pricing to broaden access to electric mobility.
Starting at £24,950 OTR, the Epiq reaches price parity with the petrol-powered Skoda Kamiq, making it the most affordable fully electric model in Skoda’s line-up. UK order books will open in July, initially with SE L and Edition trims paired with the larger 55 battery pack.
The Epiq also plays a major role in Skoda’s wider EV expansion strategy. Alongside the upcoming all-electric Peaq, it will help double the brand’s electric vehicle range in Europe.
Built on Volkswagen Group’s New MEB+ Platform
The Epiq becomes the first Skoda model to use the Volkswagen Group’s new MEB+ architecture. Designed specifically for compact EVs, the platform focuses on lower weight, improved efficiency and better space utilisation.
Unlike larger rear-wheel-drive MEB models, the Epiq uses a front-wheel-drive setup. The new platform also enables the use of smaller and lighter battery packs while maintaining competitive driving range figures.
Compact Exterior, Spacious Interior
The Epiq introduces a fresh design direction for future Skoda SUVs. Key styling elements include the glossy black Tech-Deck Face, a distinctive T-shaped lighting signature and robust bumpers with O-shaped air intakes.
Despite its compact footprint, the Epiq prioritises practicality. Aerodynamic optimisation results in a drag coefficient of 0.275, helping maximise energy efficiency and range.
The Epiq will launch with six exterior paint colours, including the no-cost Marble Grey finish and the exclusive Jasper Red metallic option. Standard models ride on 18-inch alloy wheels, while the First Edition upgrades to unique 20-inch designs.
Inside, the Epiq offers a highly functional cabin with a 475-litre boot and an additional 25-litre front storage compartment, or “frunk.” The dashboard follows Skoda’s Modern Solid design philosophy, blending minimalist styling with practical controls and sustainable materials.
Three interior themes will be available:
– Loft Grey comes standard on SE L and Edition models
– Loft Mint adds mint-coloured accents and upholstery
– Suite introduces a more premium brown artificial leather and microsuede finish
Skoda also introduces Techtona synthetic leather in the Epiq, an animal-free material designed to reduce water and chemical use during production.
Technology and Connectivity
A new infotainment system sits at the centre of the Epiq’s cabin, featuring a 13-inch touchscreen and a five-inch digital cockpit display. Wireless Smartlink connectivity comes standard, while the MySkoda app enables remote charging management and vehicle monitoring.
Higher trims add features such as wireless charging with active cooling, satellite navigation and a mobile digital key.
Battery Options and Driving Range
The Epiq will be offered with two battery configurations.
The entry-level Epiq 40 uses a 37kWh usable lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) battery and delivers an estimated WLTP range of around 190 miles. Power output stands at 135PS.
The more powerful Epiq 55 features a 52kWh usable nickel-manganese-cobalt (NMC) battery with up to 272 miles of WLTP range and 211PS.
Both versions support rapid charging from 10% to 80% in under 25 minutes, while the Epiq 55 reaches peak DC charging speeds of 105kW.
The Epiq also supports bidirectional charging, allowing energy stored in the battery to power external devices or potentially feed electricity back into a home or the grid. One-pedal driving with adjustable regenerative braking is also included.
Safety and Driver Assistance
Skoda equips the Epiq with a strong suite of standard safety systems. Features include Front Assist, Side Assist, Lane Assist and Traffic Sign Recognition.
Seven airbags come standard across the range, including a centre airbag typically found in larger vehicles.
Epiq First Edition Adds Exclusive Styling
A limited-run First Edition model will launch alongside the standard range. Based on the Epiq 55, it adds several unique styling details, including Navajo Orange accents, a contrasting black roof and exclusive 20-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, orange stitching, sports pedals, a black headliner and First Edition badging create a sportier atmosphere.
The First Edition also includes the Convenience and Tech Packages as standard and is exclusively available with the larger 52kWh battery pack.
