The Mercedes-Benz C-Class enters a new era as an all-electric saloon, blending the model’s long-standing popularity with cutting-edge EV technology.
Following its global debut in Seoul, the latest iteration is now available to order, marking a major step in the brand’s electrification strategy.
Pricing and availability
In Germany, the electric C-Class lineup begins with the C 400 4MATIC electric. Prices start at €56,900 (excl. VAT) for business users and €67,711 (incl. VAT) for private buyers.
Leasing options are also competitive, with monthly rates starting from around €470, making it more accessible in the premium EV segment.
Long-range performance and ultra-fast charging
At the heart of the new model is a focus on long-distance usability. The C 400 4MATIC electric delivers up to 762km (WLTP) on a single charge, placing it among the longest-range electric saloons in its class.
Thanks to advanced 800-volt architecture, charging is equally impressive. Up to 325km of range can be added in just 10 minutes using DC fast charging. In real-world conditions, this enables journeys exceeding 1,000km with only a brief charging stop—highlighting its touring capability.
Additional variants are already planned, including rear-wheel-drive models expected to reach around 800km of range, further strengthening the lineup.
Performance meets comfort
The electric C-Class balances refinement with strong performance. Producing up to 360kW and 800Nm of torque, it accelerates from 0–100 km/h in just 4.0 seconds, with a top speed of 210 km/h.
Driving dynamics are enhanced by the 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system, while optional AIRMATIC air suspension improves ride quality by adapting to road conditions. Rear-axle steering further boosts agility in tight spaces and stability at higher speeds.
Sleek design with a modern edge
Visually, the new electric saloon adopts a distinctive identity. A low, wide front end and flowing rear create a coupé-like silhouette, while the illuminated grille adds a futuristic touch with animated lighting effects during charging and unlocking.
The design signals a clear evolution while retaining the premium character associated with the C-Class name.
Interior: comfort and space redefined
Inside, the focus remains on delivering a refined “welcome home” experience. The dedicated electric platform allows for improved interior packaging, offering generous passenger space and practical storage.
Boot capacity stands at 470 litres, complemented by a 101-litre front trunk. The model also supports towing up to 1.8 tonnes, adding versatility rarely seen in electric saloons.
MBUX Hyperscreen and next-gen software
A major highlight is the integration of the MBUX Hyperscreen, stretching 99.3cm across the dashboard. It delivers a fully immersive digital experience powered by the new Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS).
The system connects core vehicle functions—from infotainment to driver assistance—and supports over-the-air updates via the cloud. A more advanced virtual assistant enables natural voice interaction, while additional features can be unlocked through the Mercedes digital ecosystem.
Advanced driver assistance
Safety and convenience are enhanced through the latest MB.DRIVE suite. Standard features include adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality and automated parking assistance.
Optional upgrades introduce Level 2 semi-autonomous capabilities, including steering assist and assisted lane changes. A 360-degree camera system further improves visibility during parking maneuvers.
A key step in Mercedes’ EV strategy
The electric C-Class represents a crucial addition to the growing electric portfolio of Mercedes-Benz. By combining long range, fast charging, and premium technology, it positions itself as a strong contender in the executive EV segment.
With more variants on the way and an emphasis on efficiency and comfort, the new electric C-Class is set to play a central role in the transition toward fully electric mobility.
