Just weeks after its global debut, Mercedes-Benz VLE is now available to order, marking the start of a new chapter for premium electric people movers.
Designed as a luxury “Grand Limousine,” the new VLE blends long-range EV capability, upscale comfort, and highly adaptable cabin space. At launch, buyers can choose from two well-equipped VLE 300 electric variants, both aimed at families, leisure users, and executive shuttle operators looking for a premium zero-emission alternative.
Mercedes-Benz is positioning the VLE as a versatile electric MPV that can comfortably handle everything from daily family duties to long-distance travel.
Premium Launch Models With High-End Features
The VLE 300 electric launches in two main trims: one with the Advanced Plus Package and another in EXCLUSIVE specification with the Premium Plus Package.
Both versions come standard with features typically reserved for flagship luxury vehicles, including AIRMATIC air suspension and the panoramic Sky View roof. Higher trims also add standout tech such as rear-axle steering, a head-up display, MBUX Superscreen, and DIGITAL LIGHT.
Pricing starts at €82,260 for the five-seat version, while the six-seat model starts at €82,712.
Later this year, Mercedes-Benz plans to expand the lineup with more trims, additional equipment packages, and seating layouts ranging from five to eight seats.
A lower-priced standard VLE 300 will also arrive later in 2026, with prices starting at €70,464 for the five-seater and €70,916 for the six-seat model.
Up to 713 km of Range and 300 kW Charging
One of the VLE’s biggest strengths is its long-distance capability.
The launch-spec VLE 300 electric delivers 203 kW of power and offers up to 713 km (443 miles) of WLTP range, depending on configuration. That puts it among the most capable electric people carriers currently announced.
Built on an advanced 800-volt EV platform, the VLE supports DC fast charging at up to 300 kW. Under ideal conditions, drivers can add up to 355 km (221 miles) of WLTP range in just 15 minutes.
With its 115 kWh usable battery, front-wheel-drive setup, and aerodynamic packaging, the VLE is designed to make long-distance travel more practical. Mercedes says journeys of around 1,000 km can be completed with only a short charging stop.
The VLE can also use 400-volt DC fast chargers, thanks to an optional DC converter, improving charging flexibility across existing public infrastructure.
Spacious Cabin With Smart Flexible Seating
The VLE’s interior is built around flexibility, and that is one of its strongest selling points.
Mercedes-Benz introduces a new Roll & Go seating system that allows manually operated rear seats and benches to slide, fold, and be removed with minimal effort. This makes it easy to switch between passenger and cargo duties.
A particularly innovative feature is the VLE’s remote seat configuration system. Powered by Mercedes-Benz’s MB.OS software platform, electrically adjustable rear seats can be repositioned through the infotainment system, rear controls, or the Mercedes-Benz App.
Four preset seating modes are available:
– Baggage mode maximizes cargo space for luggage or sports gear.
– Executive mode prioritizes rear legroom for chauffeured travel.
– People & Baggage balances passenger comfort and storage.
– Standard mode restores the default seating layout.
This feature gives the VLE a level of cabin adaptability that few rivals in the segment can match.
More Versions Coming, Including AWD and Cheaper Models
Mercedes-Benz has confirmed that the VLE lineup will expand significantly over the next two years.
Later in 2026, buyers will be able to choose:
– a 4MATIC all-wheel-drive version with the same 115 kWh battery,
– AMG Line and AMG Line Plus styling packages,
– more equipment bundles and personalization options.
In 2027, the VLE range will grow further with:
– a long-wheelbase version offering around 18 cm of extra length,
– a more affordable 80 kWh LFP battery option,
– front-wheel-drive and 4MATIC choices.
The entry-level VLE 250 will start at €64,804 for the five-seat version and €65,261 for the six-seater, making the lineup more accessible to a broader group of buyers.
A Strong New Contender in the Premium Electric MPV Space
The new Mercedes-Benz VLE enters the market with a compelling mix of luxury, practicality, and genuine long-range usability.
With over 700 km of range, ultra-fast charging, and a highly configurable cabin, the VLE sets a new benchmark for premium electric family transport and executive shuttles. As more trims and battery options arrive, it could become one of the most complete electric people movers in Europe.
