Mazda6e Set for UK Arrival This Summer With Starting Price Of £38,995

The Mazda6e is set to arrive in the UK this summer, bringing Mazda’s familiar saloon nameplate into the electric era with a strong mix of range, premium design and fleet-friendly running costs.

First revealed at the Brussels Motor Show and already on sale in parts of Europe since late 2025, the Mazda6e will launch in the UK with a simplified single-battery setup. Prices start at £38,995 for the Takumi trim, rising to £39,995 for the Takumi Plus.

Mazda6 Reimagined for the EV Era

The Mazda6e effectively reinvents the long-running Mazda6 for the all-electric age. While retaining sleek saloon proportions, it also adds the practicality of a five-door hatchback body style, making it a compelling option for buyers who want style without sacrificing usability.

Mazda has clearly positioned the car to appeal to fleet and company car users — a segment where the previous Mazda6 built a strong reputation in the UK. With its blend of premium styling, solid efficiency and everyday practicality, the Mazda6e looks well placed to attract salary sacrifice and user-chooser buyers.

Strong Residual Values Add to Fleet Appeal

One of the Mazda6e’s biggest selling points is expected ownership value. According to April 2026 CAP Gold Book data, the car has a class-leading predicted residual value of 58.3%, outperforming several established rivals.

That includes models such as the Tesla Model 3, BYD Seal, Polestar 2 and Volkswagen ID.7.

Mazda UK has already been actively introducing the Mazda6e to fleet decision-makers. Over the past few months, the brand has presented the car to 30 leasing companies and more than 120 business customers. It is also due to appear at the Great British Fleet Event on April 16.

348-Mile Range and 24-Minute Fast Charging

Unlike the dual-battery setup offered in mainland Europe, the UK-market Mazda6e will use a new 78kWh LFP battery designed to balance efficiency, performance and charging convenience.

Key performance figures include:

– Up to 348 miles of WLTP combined range
– 10% to 80% charging in 24 minutes on a 195kW DC charger
– 258PS power output
– Rear-wheel drive layout
– 0-62mph in 7.9 seconds
– 290Nm of torque

This specification gives the Mazda6e the credentials to compete in the increasingly crowded electric executive car segment, while offering enough real-world usability for long-distance commuting and business travel.

Kodo Design Evolves for a New Generation

Mazda says the Mazda6e was developed under the theme “Electrifying Design Crafted to Perfection,” representing the next stage of its Kodo design language.

The exterior features a low-slung coupe-like roofline, short rear deck and smooth body surfacing that give the car a sleek, athletic stance. Frameless doors and a distinctive illuminated front signature wing help create a more premium, modern look.

One standout detail is the illuminated grille surround, which also doubles as a charging status indicator. At the rear, new Mazda lettering replaces the traditional badge, while an electronically deployable rear spoiler adds both visual drama and high-speed stability.

The 19-inch aerodynamic alloy wheels have also been designed to improve efficiency without compromising the car’s sporty appearance.

Premium Cabin with Tech-Heavy Layout

Inside, the Mazda6e focuses on simplicity, space and comfort. A panoramic roof helps create an airy feel, while Mazda’s use of the Japanese design principle “Ma” places emphasis on openness and balance.

The cabin features a floating centre console and clean dashboard layout, with high-quality materials across both trim levels.

Takumi models are offered with black or stone Maztex artificial leather, while Takumi Plus upgrades to tan Nappa leather and suede-style trim.

Technology highlights include:

– 14.6-inch central touchscreen
– 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster
– Augmented reality head-up display

The result is a cabin that feels modern and premium, while still maintaining Mazda’s driver-focused philosophy.

Orders Open Now Ahead of Summer Deliveries

The Mazda6e is available to configure and order now, with first UK customer deliveries scheduled for this summer.

Mazda’s EV expansion in the UK will continue later in 2026 with the arrival of the Mazda CX-6e, giving the brand a broader electric line-up as it accelerates its transition toward electrification.
