Leapmotor T03 LCV Debuts as Affordable Electric Urban Delivery Van in Europe

Leapmotor is expanding beyond passenger EVs with the launch of the new Leapmotor T03 LCV, a compact all-electric light commercial vehicle designed for urban businesses and delivery operators.

As cities tighten emissions rules and low-emission zones become more common, demand is rising for practical zero-emission vans that can handle daily delivery needs without high operating costs. The T03 LCV enters the market as an affordable and efficient option for last-mile logistics, targeting small businesses, fleets and urban service providers.

Based on the existing T03 city car platform, the T03 LCV has been reworked for commercial use with a dedicated cargo compartment while keeping its compact footprint. Measuring 3,620 mm long, 1,652 mm wide and 1,577 mm tall, the small electric van is well suited to crowded city streets and tight parking spaces.

Despite its compact size, the T03 LCV offers useful practicality. It delivers 657 liters of cargo space and a maximum payload of up to 220 kg, making it ideal for parcel deliveries, maintenance services and local business transport.

Power comes from a 70 kW (95 hp) electric motor producing 158 Nm of torque. The van is equipped with a 37.3 kWh battery pack that provides a WLTP driving range of up to 256 km, enough to cover most daily urban routes without frequent charging.

Charging flexibility is another key strength. The T03 LCV supports AC charging at up to 6.6 kW and DC fast charging at up to 45 kW. With fast charging, the battery can go from 30% to 80% in around 36 minutes, helping reduce downtime during working hours.

Unlike many entry-level commercial vehicles, the T03 LCV includes a surprisingly modern cabin. Drivers get an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.1-inch central touchscreen, multifunction steering wheel and electric air conditioning. Connected features include online navigation, 4G connectivity, voice control and over-the-air software updates.

The dedicated Leapmotor app also adds useful remote functions such as charging control, climate pre-conditioning, vehicle status monitoring and location tracking, making fleet management easier.

Safety has also been given strong attention. The T03 LCV comes with front, side and curtain airbags, rear parking sensors and a rear-view camera. It also features a comprehensive driver assistance package including Adaptive Cruise Control, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Detection, Intelligent Speed Assist, Driver Drowsiness Detection and driver distraction alerts.

Leapmotor will offer the T03 LCV in a closed-body configuration with three exterior colors: Caribbean Blue, Light White and Canopy Grey. The van rides on 15-inch black steel wheels that underline its practical, work-focused design.

Production will be finalized at the Mirafiori Plant in Turin. Orders are set to open in April for early European launch markets, with first customer deliveries expected in summer 2026.

Priced from €14,590 before VAT, the T03 LCV positions itself as one of the more accessible electric commercial vehicles in Europe. For businesses looking to lower fuel costs, meet emissions targets and improve urban efficiency, Leapmotor’s latest EV could become a compelling new option.
