Skoda Doubles Down on EVs as Electrified Sales More Than Double in 2025

Skoda Auto has recorded its strongest sales performance in six years, delivering 1,043,900 vehicles worldwide, a 12.7% year-on-year increase. The success was driven largely by the rapid rise of battery-electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles, which are now central to Skoda’s growth strategy.

Electrified Models Power Skoda’s European Success

In Europe (EU27+4), Skoda delivered 836,200 vehicles, securing third place among all car brands in its core market for the first time. A defining factor behind this achievement was the surge in electrified vehicle adoption: 25.7% of all Skoda vehicles delivered in Europe were BEVs or PHEVs, meaning one in four cars left the showroom with a charging plug.

Strong customer demand for the all-electric Enyaq and the new Elroq propelled Skoda to fourth place among Europe’s best-selling electric vehicle manufacturers, with nearly 175,000 electric vehicles delivered. The Elroq emerged as a standout success, ranking as the second best-selling EV in Europe, while topping sales charts in multiple countries.

Germany Leads, EV Demand Accelerates Across Europe

Germany remains Skoda’s largest single market, with 211,100 deliveries (+12.8%), followed by the Czech Republic, the United Kingdom, Poland, and France. Electrified vehicle growth was especially strong in key EV-friendly markets such as:

– Germany: 51,000 BEV deliveries (+106.6%)
– Denmark: 16,700 (+191%)
– Netherlands: 15,100 (+300%)
– Czech Republic: 6,000 (+245.7%)

Thanks to this momentum, Skoda achieved a 6.8% share of the European EV market, underlining its growing influence in the transition to electric mobility.

Electrified Deliveries More Than Double Worldwide

Globally, Skoda delivered a combined 218,700 electrified vehicles, consisting of 174,900 battery-electric vehicles and 43,800 plug-in hybrids. This represents a 117.5% increase year-on-year, clearly demonstrating how rapidly customers are embracing Skoda’s electrified lineup.

While traditional best-sellers such as the Octavia, Kodiaq, Kamiq, Fabia, and Karoq remain important pillars of the brand, electrified models are increasingly shaping Skoda’s future growth.

International Growth Supports the EV Strategy

Skoda’s internationalisation strategy continues to deliver strong results. Deliveries in India nearly doubled to 70,600 vehicles, while production of the Slavia and Kushaq began in Vietnam, strengthening the brand’s presence in the ASEAN region. Growth also continued in Turkey, North Africa, and the Middle East, laying the groundwork for future electrification beyond Europe.

2026: Doubling the All-Electric Portfolio

Skoda’s commitment to electromobility will take a major leap forward in 2026 with the introduction of two all-new, fully electric models:

– Epiq – an affordable, urban electric crossover designed to make EV ownership more accessible
– Peaq – a large, seven-seater electric SUV that will serve as Skoda’s new flagship EV

These models will double Skoda’s all-electric portfolio, expanding customer choice while reinforcing the brand’s “freedom of powertrain choice” philosophy — from efficient combustion engines to plug-in hybrids and fully electric vehicles.
