Subaru has released a 25-minute walk-around video of the Solterra, Subaru’s first all-electric SUV.
The model revealed in the video is the European version scheduled to launch in Europe and the UK in the middle of next year.
The Solterra, which was named by combining the Latin words for “Sun” and “Earth,” is the most technologically advanced Subaru yet. Built on the e-Subaru Global Platform co-developed with Toyota, the all-new SUV offers ample back-seat and cargo room.
The Solterra is visually and mechanically similar with recently revealed Toyota BZ4X electric crossover, with which it will share a platform and powertrain. Both EVs are being jointly developed as part of a wider partnership between the Japanese companies.
