The Netherlands have registered 943 plug-in passenger cars last month, dropping 48% Year-on-Year, a slight improvement over the year-to-date performance, which is down 55%.
The Tesla Model S recovered the Year-to-date leadership in August, by registering 129 units that month, leading with a 53 units advantage over the previous leader and now runner-up, the Volvo XC90 PHEV.

The all-electric BMW i3 benefited from the recent arrival of the 33 kWh version to beat its longstanding two-year-old record and register 74 units, a positive sign for the upcoming longer range all-electric vehicle models.
