Leapmotor has unveiled the C10 MY27, an extensively updated version of its flagship D-segment electric SUV. The new model brings more power, longer driving range, faster charging, improved practicality and additional driver-assistance technology, while also adding new comfort and connectivity features.
The 2027 Leapmotor C10 continues to be offered in both fully electric (BEV) and range-extending hybrid (REEV) configurations. For MY27, the SUV receives Leapmotor’s latest 3.5 Electronic & Electrical Architecture, which brings improvements to connectivity, software responsiveness and advanced driver-assistance systems.
The result is a C10 that retains its family-focused practicality while gaining a more sophisticated technology package and stronger powertrain options.
2027 Leapmotor C10 Gets New Exterior and Interior Upgrades
The C10’s familiar exterior design has been updated for the MY27 model year, with the Design trim receiving a new full-width LED light bar integrated with the automatic LED headlamps.
The new lighting signature gives the electric SUV a more distinctive appearance while maintaining the clean design of the existing C10.
Inside, Leapmotor has focused on improving comfort and refinement. The cabin continues to use high-quality materials and offers generous space for both front and rear passengers.
Design versions now feature a frameless auto-dimming rear-view mirror, along with four-way powered lumbar adjustment for the driver’s seat. Double-layer acoustic glass for the front side windows is also available, helping reduce wind and road noise.
These changes are relatively subtle, but they contribute to a more premium cabin experience, particularly on longer journeys.
More Cargo Space and Improved Everyday Practicality
The C10 has always been designed as a practical family SUV, and the MY27 update improves its storage capacity.
On C10 BEV models, luggage capacity increases by 27 liters to 500 liters. With the rear seats folded, total cargo capacity reaches 1,905 liters.
The electric version also gains a new two-level adjustable boot floor. It can be lowered to maximize available cargo space or raised to create additional hidden storage underneath.
Another useful addition is a 30-liter front trunk, giving owners a dedicated area for charging cables and smaller items.
The C10 Hybrid EV also gains additional cargo capacity. Its luggage compartment grows from 400 to 440 liters, while folding the rear seats increases available space to 1,845 liters.
Rear passengers can also recline their seats, while folding the rear seats creates a large, flat area that can be used for carrying larger items or relaxing during trips.
New Charging Status Indicator and Smart Key
Leapmotor has also made charging easier to monitor. The C10 BEV and REEV now feature an illuminated Leapmotor logo behind the charging port that provides a visual indication of the vehicle’s charging status.
A white light indicates that the vehicle is connected but not charging, while a flashing green light indicates active charging. A solid green light means charging is complete. Blue illumination indicates scheduled charging, while flashing blue identifies V2L operation.
The MY27 C10 also receives a new smart key with hands-free entry and start, adding another convenience feature for everyday driving.
More Power and Longer Range for the C10 EV
One of the biggest changes for the 2027 Leapmotor C10 is the upgraded electric powertrain lineup.
The 69.9-kWh Pro version now produces 224 hp (165 kW) and 360 Nm of torque, up from 320 Nm previously. Top speed increases to 180 km/h, while the WLTP driving range reaches 430 km.
Charging performance has also improved significantly. Maximum DC fast-charging capability rises from 84 kW to 120 kW, allowing the battery to charge from 30% to 80% in approximately 24 minutes.
For buyers looking for more range and performance, the 81.9-kWh ProMax RWD produces 299 hp (220 kW) and 360 Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 6.8 seconds, reach a top speed of 190 km/h and deliver up to 519 km of WLTP range.
At the top of the lineup is the C10 AWD 81.9-kWh ProMax, which combines two electric motors for a substantial 571 hp (420 kW) and 655 Nm of torque.
The all-wheel-drive model can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 5.0 seconds, while still offering a WLTP range of 479 km.
That combination gives the C10 a significantly broader range of capabilities, from efficient family transportation to genuinely strong straight-line performance.
Leapmotor C10 Hybrid EV Offers Up to 986 km of Range
The C10 MY27 Hybrid EV is designed for drivers who want electric driving capability without relying exclusively on charging infrastructure.
The updated system produces 220 hp (162 kW) and offers up to 145 km of electric driving range.
A revised 1.5-liter four-cylinder petrol generator extends the vehicle’s overall range to as much as 986 km under the WLTP cycle.
This makes the range-extending version particularly relevant to drivers who regularly undertake longer journeys but still want to complete a significant portion of their everyday driving using electric power.
New Infotainment System Adds Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto
Technology is another major focus of the MY27 update.
The C10 now uses LEAP OS 4.0 Plus through a 14.6-inch central infotainment display. The system features a customizable interface, 3D graphics and support for displaying multiple applications.
For MY27, Leapmotor adds wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, making smartphone integration more convenient.
The voice-control system has also been upgraded with an AI-powered assistant designed to understand natural-language requests more effectively.
The system supports English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese and Arabic. It can also handle contextual commands, multiple requests and language switching.
An online search function powered by ChatGPT allows the system to retrieve real-time information, including weather and news, while also controlling vehicle functions, navigation and multimedia features.
2027 Leapmotor C10 Adds Five New ADAS Features
Safety technology has been expanded significantly for the MY27 C10.
Leapmotor says the updated SUV now offers 22 driver-assistance systems, with five new functions added to the package.
These include Automatic Lane Change, which can initiate a lane change when the system is activated and conditions allow it.
Front Vehicle Departure Warning alerts the driver when the vehicle ahead begins moving in stationary traffic. The SUV also gains Front Cross Traffic Alert and Front Cross Traffic Braking, which can detect approaching vehicles when pulling forward from junctions or parking spaces.
A Side Distance Indication System uses the C10’s surround-view cameras and parking sensors to help monitor the vehicle’s surroundings when navigating narrow roads.
The MY27 C10 also adopts a new 1V5R sensing system, combining one front-facing camera with five radar sensors. Leapmotor says the additional front and corner radars improve forward detection coverage and the vehicle’s ability to identify objects around it.
As with other driver-assistance systems, these features are designed to support the driver rather than replace their attention and control.
2027 Leapmotor C10 Trim Levels
The C10 MY27 continues with Life and Design trim levels, but both receive additional standard equipment.
Standard features include electrically adjustable front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, automatic LED lighting and a large 2.1-square-meter panoramic sunroof with a powered sunshade.
The Life trim now adds Keyless Go & Start, front parking sensors, the expanded 22-function ADAS package and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The Design trim builds on that equipment with the auto-dimming frameless rear-view mirror, four-way driver’s lumbar support, double-layer acoustic glass for the front windows and the new full-width LED light bar.
2027 Leapmotor C10: More Than a Technology Refresh
The MY27 update turns the Leapmotor C10 into a more capable and feature-rich electric SUV without fundamentally changing its family-oriented character.
The biggest improvements come in areas that matter to everyday EV buyers: more range, faster charging, greater cargo capacity, stronger performance and improved connectivity.
With up to 519 km of WLTP range in the rear-wheel-drive ProMax, 571 hp in the AWD version and up to 986 km of total WLTP range in the Hybrid EV, the updated C10 covers a much wider range of use cases.
Combined with its expanded ADAS package, wireless smartphone connectivity, AI-powered voice assistant and improved cabin refinement, the 2027 Leapmotor C10 represents a substantial upgrade over the outgoing model.
