Leapmotor B03X Arrives in Europe With €24,900 Starting Price

Leapmotor is expanding its presence in Europe with the new B03X, a compact all-electric crossover designed to combine SUV-inspired practicality, modern technology and an accessible price.

The new B03X was recently showcased to European automotive media during Leapmotor’s International Media Drive in Marbella, Spain. The event gave journalists an opportunity to experience the compact electric crossover across city streets, coastal highways and winding countryside roads.

With European orders opening in July and a starting list price of €24,900, the B03X is positioned as one of Leapmotor’s key models in the rapidly growing compact EV market.

A compact electric crossover designed for everyday life

Leapmotor describes the B03X as a smart urban crossover built around three main ideas: compact dimensions, practicality and technology.

At 4,270 mm long, 1,810 mm wide and 1,635 mm tall, the B03X remains compact enough for urban driving while offering a relatively long 2,605 mm wheelbase. A 10-meter turning diameter is also designed to make the vehicle easier to maneuver and park in busy cities.

Despite its compact footprint, the B03X aims to deliver the higher seating position and SUV-like versatility many European buyers now expect from a crossover.

The exterior features a distinctive front LED light bar, flush pop-out door handles, a floating roof design and rear lighting with Leapmotor’s signature styling theme.

Surprisingly spacious interior

One of the B03X’s biggest selling points is its interior packaging.

Leapmotor says the dedicated EV platform, optimized wheelbase and flat-floor architecture help create a spacious cabin for both front and rear passengers. Rear legroom reaches 947 mm, while front headroom is up to 1,009 mm.

The interior longitudinal space measures 2,277 mm, contributing to a cabin designed to accommodate passengers comfortably despite the vehicle’s relatively compact exterior dimensions.

Practicality is also a major focus. The B03X offers 510 liters of total storage capacity, including a 105-liter waterproof and washable compartment beneath the trunk floor. With the rear seats folded, total cargo capacity increases to 1,605 liters, while maximum usable load length reaches 2,530 mm.

The rear seat cushions can also be lifted to create additional vertical storage space. Leapmotor says the cabin includes 33 storage compartments, giving the B03X plenty of flexibility for everyday family use.

A technology-focused EV cabin

The B03X follows a minimalist interior design approach, with a horizontal dashboard intended to create a more open feeling.

The main technology highlight is a dual-screen setup consisting of a 14.6-inch floating central touchscreen and an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster.

The infotainment system runs on Leap OS 4.0 Plus and uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8155 processor. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are supported, along with online navigation, real-time traffic information, integrated trip planning and over-the-air software updates.

The Leapmotor smartphone app adds several connected features, including remote climate control, battery pre-heating, charging scheduling, vehicle monitoring and digital key functionality.

Two battery options and up to 382 km of range

The Leapmotor B03X is offered with two LFP battery configurations.

The entry-level Pro uses a 39.8 kWh battery and a 130 kW (176 hp) electric motor. It offers up to 292 km of WLTP range.

The more powerful ProMax combines a larger 53.0 kWh battery with a 145 kW (197 hp) electric motor, increasing the maximum WLTP range to 382 km.

Both versions produce 200 Nm of instant torque, while 0-100 km/h acceleration takes 8.6 seconds. Top speed is 160 km/h, and front-wheel drive is standard.

Leapmotor’s CTC2.0 Plus cell-to-chassis battery technology integrates the battery into the vehicle structure. According to the company, this approach helps lower the center of gravity, improve torsional rigidity and contribute to overall efficiency and safety.

Fast charging is also supported. Both battery options can charge from 30% to 80% in 16 minutes using the vehicle’s 2.5C fast-charging capability.

Level 2 driver assistance comes standard

Safety and driver assistance are another major part of the B03X package.

Every B03X comes with Level 2 driver assistance capabilities as standard. The system uses a network of 14 sensors and cameras to monitor the vehicle’s surroundings and supports 21 advanced driver assistance systems.

Among the available technologies are Traffic Jam Assist, which is designed to make stop-and-go driving easier, and Driver Fatigue Monitoring, which can alert the driver when reduced attention is detected.

The combination of active driver assistance technologies and the vehicle’s passive safety systems is intended to make the B03X suitable for everything from urban commuting to longer motorway journeys.

Two straightforward trim levels

Leapmotor has kept the B03X range relatively simple with two main trim levels: LIFE and DESIGN.

The LIFE trim is focused on value and everyday usability. Depending on configuration, it can be paired with either the 39.8 kWh or 53.0 kWh battery and includes automatic climate control, an eco-leather steering wheel, LED headlights, roof rails, seven airbags and the full suite of 21 ADAS functions.

The standard technology package also includes a 14.6-inch touchscreen, 8.8-inch digital instrument display, six-speaker audio system and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Eighteen-inch alloy wheels complete the exterior package.

The DESIGN trim adds a more premium interior with eco-leather seats, a six-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats and a heated steering wheel.

It also adds front parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, a 12-speaker audio system and ambient lighting. The DESIGN version is available exclusively with the larger 53.0 kWh battery.

Leapmotor B03X price and European availability

With a €24,900 starting list price, the Leapmotor B03X enters one of Europe’s most competitive EV categories at a relatively accessible price point.

The compact crossover is particularly important for Leapmotor as the company continues expanding across European markets. Its combination of compact dimensions, a practical interior, modern connectivity and up to 382 km of WLTP range gives it the ingredients needed to compete in the increasingly crowded B-segment electric crossover market.

The B03X is also part of Leapmotor’s wider strategy to make electric vehicles more accessible while maintaining a strong focus on technology and everyday usability.

The B03X targets Europe’s growing compact EV market

The Leapmotor B03X arrives at a time when European buyers are increasingly looking for smaller electric vehicles that can handle both urban commuting and family duties.

Its compact exterior dimensions make it suitable for city driving, while the spacious cabin, flexible cargo area and larger 53.0 kWh battery broaden its appeal beyond purely urban use.

With a starting price of €24,900, up to 382 km of WLTP range and a long list of standard technology and driver assistance features, the B03X could become an important model for Leapmotor as it seeks to establish a stronger position in Europe’s electric vehicle market.

For buyers searching for a relatively affordable electric crossover that prioritizes practicality, technology and easy everyday driving, the new Leapmotor B03X is a model worth watching.
