Volvo Begins Customer Deliveries of New Electric EX60 SUV in Europe

Volvo has officially started customer deliveries of the all-new Volvo EX60 in Europe, marking an important milestone for the Swedish automaker’s expanding electric vehicle lineup. The first owners in Sweden have already taken delivery of the electric SUV, while additional customer deliveries across Europe are scheduled to accelerate throughout the coming weeks and months.

Unveiled earlier this year, the EX60 is one of Volvo’s most significant electric launches to date. Positioned in one of the world’s largest SUV segments, the new five-seat electric SUV combines long driving range, ultra-fast charging, advanced safety technologies, and competitive pricing aimed at attracting a broader audience to electric mobility.

Volvo EX60 Targets the Mainstream Electric SUV Market

The EX60 is designed to make the transition to electric driving easier by addressing two of the biggest concerns for buyers: driving range and charging speed.

The flagship EX60 P12 AWD delivers an impressive WLTP range of up to 810 km (503 miles), making it the longest-range electric vehicle Volvo has ever produced. According to the company, that figure also places the EX60 at the top of its segment.

Charging performance is equally impressive. Using a 400 kW DC fast charger, the EX60 can recharge from 10% to 80% in as little as 16 minutes, while adding up to 340 km (211 miles) of driving range in just ten minutes under ideal conditions.

These figures position the EX60 among the fastest-charging electric SUVs currently entering the market and significantly reduce long-distance travel concerns for EV buyers.

Three Powertrain Options Available

Volvo will offer the EX60 with three fully electric powertrains, allowing customers to choose the version that best suits their driving needs.

The available configurations include:

– EX60 P12 AWD – up to 810 km (503 miles) WLTP range
– EX60 P10 AWD – up to 660 km (410 miles) WLTP range
– EX60 P6 RWD – up to 611 km (380 miles) WLTP range

In total, the EX60 lineup consists of seven different variants, offering a broad selection of equipment levels and configurations.

Built on Volvo’s Next-Generation SPA3 Platform

The EX60 is the first fully electric Volvo to be designed, developed, and manufactured entirely in Sweden using the company’s new SPA3 vehicle architecture.

The platform introduces several next-generation technologies, including:

– Cell-to-body battery integration
– Mega-casting manufacturing techniques
– Advanced core computing architecture
– Next-generation software-defined vehicle capabilities

These innovations are designed to improve efficiency, reduce manufacturing complexity, and support future software updates while enhancing vehicle performance and safety.

Advanced Safety and User Experience

Safety remains at the heart of the EX60. Volvo says the SUV represents the next generation of its safety philosophy by combining powerful onboard computing with advanced driver assistance technologies.

The new computing architecture also enables a more responsive infotainment system and a smoother digital user experience, while providing the foundation for future software improvements delivered over the air.

Customer Deliveries Continue Through 2026

Production and deliveries are expected to ramp up significantly during the second half of 2026 as Volvo increases manufacturing capacity to meet demand.

Order books remain open across Europe, and reservations have recently expanded to the United States, signaling Volvo’s intention to make the EX60 one of its key global electric models.

With its combination of class-leading driving range, rapid charging capability, modern technology, and competitive positioning, the Volvo EX60 arrives as one of the most compelling new electric SUVs entering the market in 2026.
