OMODA 9 SHS-P Black Noble Edition With MY26 Upgrades And 90-Mile EV Range

OMODA has unveiled the new OMODA 9 SHS-P Black Noble, a striking new version of its flagship plug-in hybrid SUV, alongside a series of MY26 updates aimed at improving comfort, cabin quality, driving dynamics and technology.

The new Black Noble edition introduces an all-black design theme, while the broader MY26 range benefits from upgraded seats, revised suspension tuning and enhanced Vehicle-to-Load functionality. Both models are available to pre-order in the UK now, with customer deliveries scheduled to begin in August.

New Black Noble Edition Adds Stealthier Styling

Priced from £46,495 OTR, the OMODA 9 SHS-P Black Noble gives buyers a more distinctive interpretation of the brand’s flagship SUV.

Finished in matte Iced Jasper Black, the special edition replaces chrome trim with black accents throughout the exterior. Key styling highlights include:

– Matte black roof rails
– Black front and rear bumper trim
– Black alloy wheels
– Black suede interior detailing

The result is a cleaner, more aggressive appearance that enhances the SUV’s premium character while appealing to buyers looking for a more exclusive look.

MY26 OMODA 9 Focuses On Comfort And Refinement

The standard MY26 OMODA 9 SHS-P, which starts from £44,995 OTR, receives several interior upgrades designed to improve everyday usability and long-distance comfort.

A new suede cloth headlining gives the cabin a more upscale feel, while newly introduced front massage seats make longer journeys more relaxing.

Seat adjustability has also been improved:

– 8-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat
– 6-way electrically adjustable front passenger seat
– Electric thigh support adjustment for the driver

These changes further strengthen the OMODA 9’s positioning as the flagship model in the brand’s growing SUV lineup.

Revised Suspension Improves Ride And Handling

OMODA has also revised the chassis for the 2026 model year.

The independent suspension has been retuned to work more effectively with the SUV’s Continuous Damping Control (CDC) system, which continuously adjusts damping based on road conditions and driving inputs.

According to the company, the updated setup delivers improved ride comfort, better body control, enhanced refinement and more responsive steering feel.

The revised steering calibration is also intended to provide greater driver confidence across urban roads and motorway journeys alike.

Up To 90 Miles Of Electric Driving

The OMODA 9 SHS-P continues to use the brand’s Super Hybrid System (SHS-P), pairing a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine with a 34.46 kWh battery pack.

Combined output stands at:

– 449 PS
– 700 Nm of torque

Performance remains impressive for a plug-in hybrid SUV, with 0-62 mph in just 4.9 seconds.

Efficiency is equally notable, with OMODA claiming:

– Up to 90 miles of electric-only driving
– More than 700 miles of total combined range
– CO₂ emissions from 38 g/km

MY26 models also receive upgraded 6.6 kW Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability, allowing the battery to power a wider variety of external appliances and equipment, adding extra practicality for camping, outdoor activities or emergency backup power.

OMODA Continues UK Expansion

The launch arrives as OMODA & JAECOO UK continues its rapid expansion.

The company says its combined UK market share reached 4.58% in June, supported by growing demand for its electrified SUV lineup and an expanding retail network that now includes 146 dealerships nationwide.

The recently introduced OMODA 7 further broadens the range, sitting between the OMODA 5 and OMODA 9 and giving buyers additional options in size, specification and powertrain.

Every OMODA 9 SHS-P continues to be backed by a 7-year/100,000-mile vehicle warranty, along with an 8-year/100,000-mile battery warranty for plug-in hybrid and electric components.

The MY26 OMODA 9 SHS-P starts at £44,995 OTR, while the Black Noble edition is priced from £46,495 OTR. Both models are available to pre-order now ahead of first UK deliveries in August.
