NIO Launches firefly Haven, the First Model in the New Halo Series

NIO’s firefly brand has expanded its lineup with the introduction of the Halo Series, a new design-focused family of vehicles. Leading the new range is the firefly Haven, a premium small electric vehicle that emphasizes distinctive styling, sustainable materials, and personalization.

The Haven is now available to order in China with prices starting at RMB 133,300 (€17,250). Customers opting for NIO’s Battery as a Service (BaaS) subscription can purchase the vehicle from RMB 93,300 (€12,00), significantly lowering the initial cost of ownership. Deliveries begin immediately.

Limited-Time Launch Benefits

To celebrate the launch, firefly is offering several incentives for customers who place and confirm an order by July 31, 2026.

The promotional package includes a complimentary 10-year Navigate on Pilot (NOP) subscription worth RMB 15,000, 1,000 reward points, and a discounted g-force package. Buyers can also choose between a RMB 2,000 purchase tax subsidy or a 7 kW AC home charger.

Additional launch gifts include:

– Exclusive dual-layer TPE floor mats valued at RMB 898.
– An RMB 800 voucher for automotive film products with qualifying purchases.
– Existing NIO, ONVO, and firefly owners receive an extra 20,000 loyalty points when purchasing the Haven.

Halo Series Focuses on Design and Personal Expression

The Halo Series builds on firefly’s “Freedom to Glow” brand philosophy by placing design at the center of the ownership experience. Each annual edition will introduce a unique design theme expressed through exclusive colors, premium materials, craftsmanship, and distinctive detailing.

For 2026, the inaugural edition adopts the theme “Inner Glow,” giving the Haven a refined visual identity inspired by nature.

Exclusive Exterior Styling

The Haven debuts with an exclusive Calm Green metallic paint finish that subtly changes appearance under different lighting conditions.

Matching Light Green accents appear on the illuminated front and rear logos as well as the wheel center caps. Newly designed dual-tone alloy wheels and contrasting black lower body cladding complete the sophisticated exterior, giving the compact EV a premium appearance.

Sustainable Cabin With Premium Materials

Inside, the Haven continues its nature-inspired theme with a carefully coordinated green color palette.

The cabin combines Calm Green, Dynamic Green, and Light Green accents throughout the dashboard, steering wheel, seat belts, stitching, door controls, and display surround to create a relaxing yet modern environment.

One of the highlights is the extensive use of Moss Grove soft-touch recycled textile. Made from premium recycled Urbanite fabric using a Mélange weaving technique, the material delivers a warm feel while supporting sustainability.

Exclusive embossed headrests, distinctive door panel textures, signature branding, and a custom Green Realm wallpaper for the infotainment display further separate the Haven from conventional compact EVs. According to firefly, more than 30 unique design elements contribute to the cabin’s premium character.

Expanding firefly’s Premium Small EV Portfolio

Since entering the market, firefly has delivered more than 70,000 vehicles, establishing itself as a leading player in China’s premium small electric car segment.

With the introduction of the Halo Series and the new Haven, the brand aims to further differentiate itself through design-led innovation rather than simply focusing on specifications. The model is expected to arrive at selected firefly retail locations across key Chinese markets beginning July 20, giving customers the opportunity to experience the new design language firsthand.

The Haven represents the first chapter of what firefly intends to become an annual series of uniquely styled electric vehicles, combining premium craftsmanship, sustainable materials, and modern technology in the rapidly growing compact EV segment.
